Second Round

Team

My Picks:

(U)- Unofficial

Key Needs:

Team Moves:

65.

1.

Rams

Cory Wooten

DE North Western

6-6, 270, 4.92,

34.75" Arms, 32", 4.28 SS!, 7.00 3-Cone, 9'0"

*Sam Bradford

QB Oklahoma

*Brian Price

DT/DE UCLA

WR, TE, QB, DE, RB, OT, LB, S, CB, OL

Key F.A. Signings:

AJ Feeley QB

Hank Fraley OC

James Hall DE

Fred Robbins DT

Key F.A.  Loses:

Rich Incognito OL

The Team: Rams can use some help along the D-Line.

The Player: Wooten is a big strong guy who coming back from devastating knee surgery last season. He has a great burst off the line for a guy his size. He has 3-4 D-End written all over him. When he reads the play quickly he can shed the OT like ladybugs in the window sill. Very quick and can change direction with amazing quickness for a guy his size. He has a nice Chop and Slap, and has that knack for intercepting the O-Tackle at the wrist before he can get his big mitts on him. Excellent hand fighter. He played most Left D-End at Northwestern. He uses his hands and feet in good combination. He has a strong inside Spin move. He seems to apply constant pressure form the Left side. He has that knack for hitting the quarterback. He did play as well in the 1st half of the season as he recovered from knee surgery. However, he had four Sacks in the second half of the season and seemed to have most of his phenomenal athleticism back. For a guy size size he has a great burst to the edge, and plays faster than his forty time. He will drop into coverage in the zone blitz, and doesn't look out of place out in space. He really does a great job protecting the edge against the run. He can counter his speed rush by getting low and has a great bull rush. He has garnered 19.5 Sacks, 38 TFL, 8 PBU, and 3 FF on 128 T. He looked like guaranteed 1st Round pick in 2008 before he hurt his knee. He garnered 16 TFL, 10 Sacks, on 34 T in 2008.

The Reason: Wooten is just too good to pass up in the 3rd.

Second Choice: Eric Decker WR

66.

2.

Lions

Jonathon Dwyer-

RB/FB Georgia Tech

6-1, 226, 4.58,

Ndamukong Suh-

DT Nebraska

Patrick Robinson-

CB Florida ST

DT, CB, OL, LB, S, RB, WR, LB, CB,

F.A. Signings:

Shaun Hill QB

Nate Burleson WR

Brian Clark WR

Will Heller WR

Corey Williams 3T-DT

Kyle Vanden Bosch DE

Chris Houston CB

Key F.A.  Loses:

Dewayne White DE

Phillip Buchanon CB

The Team: Kevin Smith is getting the crap beat out of him. He needs some help. Plus, he had knee and shoulder surgeries this off season.

The Player: Dwyer is a big power back with huge Earl Campbell like thighs. he has unquestionable toughness. He mostly runs Dives, with defenses looking to stop him, and he takes a beating every game. He lined up as a FB in GT crazy Option Offense. He runs a lot inside from FB sets. Reminds me of the old San Diego RB/FB Natrone Means. Underrated athlete. He really made a lot of money at his Proday when he ran a 4.58 outside in  bad conditions. He has better outside speed than he is given credit. They don't pitch it out to him often, but they do he can turn the Corner. He can really do physical harm to DBs when he gets out to the Second level. He has a nice quick hop to the outside. Changes direction with great quickness for a big power runner. God receiver out of the backfield. They don't throw it to him often, but he is a hand catcher, and can turn up field and terrify DBs;-) He follows blocker very well, especially inside. Does a good job cutting outside behind blocks. Likes to run with herky jerky shoulders. I was very impressed with his speed, athleticism, hands, and outside burst when I watched him at the Orange Bowl. Plus, he has great production at a tough position. He showed the speed, receiving skills, and quickness at his Proday that I saw in the Orange Bowl. Amazingly productive college RB. He garnered 1,395 and 14 TDs, on 235 carries. Over his career he garnered an impressive 35 TDs and 3,226 yards rushing.

The Reason: Dwyer had 1st Round career at GT, but the depth of this Draft and his weight issues will cause him to drop. Kevin Smith is not a small back, but more of a slasher than a power back. Getting a big power back who can take some of the inside runs, short yardage runs, and inside beatings he takes would help a lot of players career in this offense, not the least of which take some pressure off of Stafford's shoulders.

Second Choice: Chad Jones SS

67.

3.

Buccaneers

Sean Lee-

LB Penn ST

6-2, 239, 4.6, 4.16 SS, 6.89 3-Cone

*Gerald McCoy-

DT Oklahoma

*Arrelious Benn-

WR Illinois

Nate Allen-

FS S. Florida

DT, DE, S, WR, OG, LB, OT, DE, LB, DE, LB, WR, CB,

F.A. Signings:

Reggie Brown WR

Jon Alston LB

Key F.A.  Loses:

Antonio Bryant WR

The Team: Should probably go CB here. But depth at LB is not such a bad thing.

The Player: Lee is a smart, aggressive, and flow LB who still can fooled by play action. He has that knack for sniffing out the ball, and is a tackling machine. He has unquestionable instincts. Lack of size will limit him in the NFL. He looks like he will be a 4th or 5th Round pick to me. Looks like he needs to be in a Tampa Two type defense. He really attacks the ball when he sees it, and is a good form tackler. He has tremendous feet and can work his way through traffic as quick as any LB in this years Draft. Lee is a smart and instinctive tackling machine. However, he is small and injury prone, and I don't think he is as a good a football player as Paul Posluszny who was a 2nd Round pick. He has that knack for slipping blocks, and getting where he needs to be on the field. The more I watch him play the more I see the Tampa Two. He does a nice job shifting away from the rush.

The Reason: He just seems to fit here for me.

Second Choice: Eric Decker WR

68.

4.

Chiefs

Misi Koa-

OLB/ILB Utah

6-2 5/8, 246, 4.69,

4.21 SS, 38",

32.5" Arms,

7.07 3-Cone,

*Brian Bulaga

OT Iowa

Golden Tate-

WR Notre Dame

ILB, OLT, S, TE, OLB, ORT, WR, OLB, ILB, DB

Key F.A. Signings:

Chris Chambers WR

Jerheme Urban WR

Thomas Jones RB

Casey Weigmann OC/OG

Ryan Lilja OL

Key F.A.  Loses:

The Team: Couldn't have worked out better for the Chiefs, how have to get an Inside Linebacker, and a leader on their defense won't hurt either. Last year they kept bouncing uncomfortably between the 3-4 and 4-3, and mostly neither worked. The Chiefs have some problems at LB. ILB Derrick Johnson is a FA. Plus, both Mike Vrabel and Andy Studebacker are both FA, right now they don't even have four LB on their roster.

The Player: I liked the way he played at Utah last season. He looks like a Patriots Linebacker. I really like him in a 3-4. He can play Inside and Outside, and showed he has the ability to drop into coverage and make plays on the ball at the Senior Bowl, and also Made some nice open field tackles in the game. Played LB at Shiners. Better moving forward. Doesn’t always look smooth moving Laterally. Showed he could stand up and LB at Senior Game, and even looked good play ILB. Embarrasses RB who try to pick him in Pass Protection. Does a great job extending his arm to his hands into the OL first, and then keeps his feet moving and drives his legs. Played LB at Senior Bowl where he lineup like an ILB, and did a nice job of finding the ball, fighting through the blocks of the OG, and making a play on the ball. First team all conference D-End, who primarily played standing up in all star games, and showed really well. He had good production in his three years at Utah. He played one year of Junior College. He garnered 8 PBU, 6 FF, 26 TFL, 10.5 Sacks ad 206 T, in his career at Utah. Koa is a very underrated athlete who I think can be a 3-Down ILB in a 3-4, because he is so quick, instinctive, and great in Pass Coverage. Plus, he can also slide to OLB and cover and blitz from the outside as well.

The Reason: They would do well to replace all 4 Linebackers from last season, and Koa brings a lot of versatility to a 3-4 defense, as Koa has value at both ILB and OLB in a 3-4.

Second Choice: Donald Butler LB

39.

5.

Raiders

Navarro Bowman-

WLB Penn ST

Bruce Campbell-

OT Maryland

Taylor Mays-

S USC

QB, OLT, OLB, MLB, OLB, S, DT/NT, RB, DE, OL,

F.A. Signings:

Richard Seymour Tag

Kamerion Wimbley DE

Key F.A.  Loses:

Javon Walker WR

Justin Fargas RB

Greg Ellis DE

Gerald Warren DT

Jon Alston LB

The Team: It appears to me they need a LB.

The Player: Bowman has excellent competitive speed. He garnered 3 Sacks, 17 TFL, 2 INTs, 3 PBU, and 93 T. He was suspended during 2007 season and barely played. Run-an-Chase LB. He might have the best feet of any LB in the Draft. Doesn't look as smooth moving laterally as he does moving forward and backwards. He looks excellent dropping back into a zone, but I’m not thrilled with his man cover skills. At his best when he see it in front of him and he can just run straight at the ball carrier. He has machine gun feet in his backpedal. 3rd team all-American. He can fly from sideline to sideline and pursues like a bankrupt bounty hunter. He can make the big hits, and loves to crush the ball carrier. He does a good job getting into the backfield and getting the ball Carrier.

He is a super athlete LB with great feet. He has Character Concerns. He can look as athletic as Weatherspoon and Washington on the field. A run-around LB who looks his best when he sees it right in front of him and can fly to the ball. He can fly all over the field. When he is on, he can look like a guided missile. Down hill runner who can make plays behind the LOS. I think he is overrated and should not go in Day 3. However, a lot of scouts like him a lot more than I do and think he should go in the 2nd Round.

The Reason: Bowman is one of the most athletic Linebackers in this years Draft, and he plays with an attitude.

Second Choice: Donald Butler LB

70.

6.

Eagles

*Brandon Ghee- 6', 190, 4.37-4.39,

Jordan Shipley-

WR Texas

5-11, 190, 4.55, 36.5", 4.22 SS, 10'0",

Earl Thomas-

Emerson Griffen-

Daryl Washington-

LB TCU

OLB, S, DE, WR, OLB, DE, DB, LB, DL

F.A. Signings :

Mike Bell RB Offer Sheet

Marlin Jackson CB/FS

Darrly Tapp DE/PassR

Key F.A.  Loses:

Reggie Brown WR

Kevin Curtis WR

Brian Westbrook RB

Shawn Andrews OG

Will Witherspoon LB

Jason Babin DE

Darren Howard DE

Chris Clemens DE

The Team: The top three needs from last year's Draft that the Eagles didn't fill where DBs.

The Player: Super athlete and super skinny cover Corner. He might need some time to add weight and technique.

The Reason: Teams that blitz can never have too many cover Corners.

Second Choice: Larry Assante SS

71.

7.

Browns

Brandon LaFell-

WR LSU

6-2.5, 211, 4.54,

11 Reps, 6.81 3-Cone,

32 3/4" Arms

*Jimmy Clausen-

QB Notre Dame

*Kareem Jackson-

CB Alabama

OLB, ILB, CB, QB, RB, S, DB, LB, RB, DL, DB, DL

F.A. Signings:

Seneca Wallace QB

Jake Delhomme QB

Ben Watson TE

Peyton Hillis FB

Tony Pashos OT

Scott Fujita LB

Key F.A.  Loses:

Derek Anderson QB

Brady Quinn QB

Hank Fraley OL

Kamerion Wimbley OLB

The Team: WR is not a hug need, but getting a big WR is always a need for an offensive guy like Holmgrene.

The Player: LaFell is the second best WR prospect on the board for most Draftnics. I have Golden Tate second because of his obvious fit in the Pats system. LaFell is a big guy who has a knack for getting open. I like his hands and his speed. This easy the Jets top need is a WR for Sanchez.

The Reason: LaFell is a perfect fit for the West Coast offense.

Second Choice: Chad Jones S

72.

8.

Bills

Al Woods

DT/NT LSU

6-3.5, 307, 4.98, 23 Reps, 37",

*Dan Williams-

DT/NT Tennessee

Tim Tebow

QB/H-B Florida

OLT, QB, NT, WR, TE, OLB, DT, OL, CB

F.A. Signings:

Cornell Green ORT

Anrda Davis LB

Dwan Edwards DE

Marlon Favorite DT

Key F.A.  Loses:

Terrell Owens WR

Josh Reed WR

Brad Butler ORT

Ryan Denney DE

The Team If the Bills really want to make the Conversion to a 3-4 they need a NT.

The Player: He has good violent hands, and has a good punch. He only started for one year at LSU and was considered a disappointment as a starter, garnering only 33 T, 5.5 TFL, and 1 Sack. He is an interesting prospect who needs development, and in a year or two could be a legit Starting NT. He tested out much better at his Proday than expected.

The Reason: The Bills are shifting into a 3-4 and need more of a pure NT. The Bills have to start by repairing the destruction they did last off season.

Second Choice: Eric Decker WR

73.

9.

Miami

Thaddeus Gibson-

OLB Ohio ST

6-2, 243, 4.58,

32 Reps, 4.27 SS,

Derrick Morgan

DE/OLB Georgia Tech

NT, OLB/PassR, TE, OLB/PassR, RB, OLB, TE, DB, WR,

F.A. Signings:

Rich Incognito OL

Karlos Dansby ILB

Key F.A.  Loses:

Joey Porter OLB

The Team: Miami has to get not one but two OLB/DE Passrushers.

The Player: Gibson is a super freak. He is just a flat out amazing athlete. Redefines quickness. Great feet and amazing hips. Has the machinegun gun feet that would make John Dillinger jealous. He looked like athlete I thought Dunlap was going to be, after hearing all his hype. But again, where’s the production? When I watch him play he did seem to run around all over the place without accomplishing anything. A-chicken-with-his-head-cut-off player. Should the best feet and hips of any DL in the Four Pad Drill, where they hop up over and around the pads. Looked smooth, quick, and explosive dropping back into coverage. Nice athlete who played DE at Ohio SS. Ran around a lot, but didn't seem to make a lot of plays on the ball. Still more promise than production, and should have stayed in school. He played a lot standing up as Ohio ST, where he played the "Leo" position, he switched between the 3-4 OLB and 4-3 DE. I didn't think he looked as comfortable standing up. Hw will vigilantly protect the backside, and rarely looks to pursue. The more he is made to think the worse he looks. He should be allowed to just charge the QB as often as possible, or he will continue to not do much on the field. Not the best at stunting inside.  Need a lot of technique work, and has terrible hands. He should have stayed in school, but again maybe the reason he looked so terrible is because the coach didn't use him correctly. Jumps, hops, and runs around a lot, but doesn't seem to have a knack for getting anywhere near the ball.

The Reason: The need will be desperate if Jason Taylor leaves.

Second Choice: Misi Koa OLB/DE/ILB

74.

10.

Jaguars

Eric Decker-

WR Minnesota

6-3, 207, 4.5,

*Eric Berry -

S Tennessee

DT, WR, QB, DE,  LB

Key F.A. Signings:

Aaron Kampman DE

Key F.A.  Loses:

The Team: Jags are still trying to replace all their 1st Round WR disasters.

The Player: Decker was looking like a 1st Round pick this year before he broke his foot. He is a big strong kid with big strong hands. He has very good hands and catches balls with DBs all over him and hitting him. Was a bit of a one man show at Minnesota, and received a lot of double coverage. He broke his foot during the season and only played in 8 games, but he still garnered 50 catches for 758 yards and 5 TDs. In 2008 he played in 11 games and garnered 84 catches for 1,074 yards and 7 TDs. He has that knack for getting open, even though he was mercilessly double-teamed. He was Minnesota number one, WR and mostly the only option in the passing game. If a team shut him down they shut down the Minny offense, and defenses new it, and couldn’t shut him down.  He was a great college receiver who understands how to open with quick cuts. He is a hand-catcher who can reach out in any direction and snag the ball with his strong hands. He is very agile and does a good job of getting both hands on badly thrown ball. He has excellent body control and can twist and contort his trunk to catches the ball thrown behind him or around him. He will sometimes run before he catches the ball. He will be more of a possession receiver in the NFL. He uses his size very well, and can impact DBs and bounce off them to get open like a Tight End. Played a lot in the slot in 2009. Tough kid who broke his foot against Ohio State and kept

playing. He kept coming in and out of the game, and having his ankle retaped,  until he just could play any more and missed the rest of the season.

The Reason: Decker is one of those 1st Round talent who slipped in the 3rd for different reasons. injury.

Second Choice: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah CB

75.

11.

Bears

Parrish Cox

CB/KR Oklahoma ST

5-11, 195, 4.53,

OL, FS. CB, WR, QB, DE, RB, LB

Key F.A. Signings:

Julius Peppers DE

Chester Taylor RB

Brandon Manumaleuna TE

Key F.A.  Loses:

The Team: I still think the Bears needs a Corner

The Player: Super talented buyer beware player. A lot of people have him rated over Patrick Robinson. Tops the list as a locker room liability. Was banned from Oklahoma ST athletic facilities, and not allowed to participate in Proday. That is a serious indictment of his character. Has a nice jam. Inconsistent in life and and character and it shows shows on the field. Has a high back pedal, and I was disappointed in his hips. Looks more natural sometimes going backwards. He had 7 INTs, 5 Special team TDs, 4 KR TDs.

The Reason: Cox fell because of Character concerns, but he is a big CB who can cover. .

Second Choice: Chad Jones FS

76.

12.

Giants

Dominique Franks-

CB Oklahoma

5-11.25, 191, 4.47,

Sean Weatherspoon-

LB Missouri

Charles Brown-

OT USC

CB, LB, DT, LB, DB, DB, WR, DT, TE

Key F.A. Signings:

Antrel Rolle S

Key F.A.  Loses:

David Carr QB

The Team: I'm not a fan of their DBs.

The Player: Franks is a big kid with good enough feet and hips to develop into a good starting CB. He has a  good back pedal, nice hips. Gets real low in his stance which is so important. Nice feet in backpedal, and nice hips in transition. I finally see why scouts like this kid so much. Smooth feet and hips. Has everything you want in a CB except pure speed, and then he ran a 4.47 at the Combine. he has a good back pedal, nice hips. Gets real low in his stance which is so important. Nice feet in backpedal, and nice hips in transition. I finally see why scouts like this kid so much. Smooth feet and hips.

The Reason: The need a Corner, big time.

Second Choice: Devin McCourty CB

 77.

13.

Titans

Larry Assante-

SS Nebraska

5-11, 210, 4.63-4.66,

Maurkice Pouncey-

OC/OG Florida

DE, S, ILB, OC, OG, OLB, TE, WR, OL, DT,

F.A. Signings:

Jason Babin DE

Will Witherspoon LB

Rod Hood CB

Key F.A.  Loses:

Kyle Vanden Bosch DE

Jevon Kearse DE

The Team: Titans have to get a Safety in this Draft.

The Player: I love Larry Assante. He had is a great SS prospect. He is a great hitter. He had the two best hits at the Senior Bowl. The first crushing Peek in the endzone, and the second crushing McCluster, and causing a fumble in the Third Quarter. Played LB in Junior College. Doesn’t have the best hips. Terrible back pedal, but has some snap in his hips. Gets in and out of his break well. Looks better moving forward. Really shows his explosiveness when he burst forward. He is a good tackler. He is a big FS, who plays like a SS. Plays a little further back than I would like, and should be up in the box more. Looks great when allowed to move forward and fill the hole. Sometimes is forced back to cover deep and not allow to move forward. At his best when moving forward. Terrific size and speed. Nice hitter who drives shoulder pads into Rb with nice violence. However, sometimes he lowers his head and that can cause problems in the NFL. Played smarter as a Senior and didn't get fooled as much by play action. The more I watch him the more I like him. Every time I watched Nebraska he was making plays. He can really run down downhill and impact runners.

The Reason: Assante is a very interesting prospect, who played LB at Junior college and can hit like a horse and still be good enough in pass coverage. .

Second Choice: Navarro Bowman LB

78.

14.

Panthers

Javier Arenas

CB/KR Alabama

5-8, 195, 4.52,

38.5", 4.14 SS,

Key F.A. Signings:

Rob Petit OT

Marcus Hudson CB

Key F.A.  Loses:

A.J. Feeley QB

Josh McCown QB

Jake Delhomme QB

Muhsin Mohammad WR

Julius Peppers DE

Damione Lewis DT

Maake Kemoetu DT

Na'il Diggs LB

Landon Johnson LB

The Team: Panthers have to get a Corner and a Kick Returner in this Draft.

The Player: Arenas just couldn't be anymore dynamic with the ball in his hands. He will instantly help any team that drafts him as a Kick Returner. He is also an undersized CB with all-world quickness. Might be limited to Nickel Corner if he doesn't have help over the top. However, his speed might be prohibitive. He is a great special teams player, and I just like the way he plays. Good feet. Not always physical run defender, but can get in and under Ball Carriers when he wants to. He has good hands at the LOS, and can give a good Chuck to get WRs off their patterns. He gets low and plays with good leverage. He has excellent change of direction quickness. Good closing speed, and can break on the ball when in is in the air for a big interception. Smart player. Clutch player. He had two INTs in the Championship Game that were paramount to Alabama's victory. Reads the QB's eyes with great anticipation, and will adjust his coverage according to where the QB is looking. He has good ball skills and good hands. Minimally, he is a special team maven, who will step onto the field in the NFL and be a Special team maven. Great Punt Returner. Had a 64 yard Punt Return at Senior bowl called back, but it still was sight to see. Very aggressive CB, who attacks the ball carrier like a SS at the Senior Bowl. Smooth hips. Not a lot of snap, but he always seems to be moving his hips with the WR. Doesn’t always play the ball in the air. Plays light in his backpedal. Transitions well out of his backpedal. Does a good job jamming with multiple jabs at LOS. Lack of speed may limit him to Tampa Two.

The Reason: Arenas kills two birds with one stone

Second Choice: Tony Pike QB

79.

15.

49ers

Alex Carrington

DE Arkansas ST

F.A. Signings:

Aubrayo Franklin Tag

David Carr QB

Karl Paymah CB

Key F.A.  Loses:

Tony Pashos OT

Shaun Hill QB

The Team: Even the 49ers have come out of this draft with some help for their brand new used QB.

The Player: Carrington is an underrated small school prospect who made a lot of money the Senior Bowl. He has a very strong lower base. When he plays and stays low he can Bull any OT. Smart player who can combo moves. Has nice quickness and underrated speed to get the edge. Has a nice Rip which he can use to turn the corner. Does  good job playing with good lean and extending arms into OT. Looked good rushing from left and right side at Senior Bowl practice. Great power. Very underrated DE. Can really power up ORT, and then shove off and rip inside to hit QB. Really a big strong guy who plays with exciting athleticism and quickness. Needs more moves, but already uses his hands very well. Comes off the line quickly with arms extended.

Looked like a 3-4 DE. Plus, has good size and some nice speed. He will go higher than people expect, because he showed he is a top 3/4 D-End prospect.

The Reason: Carrington made a lot of money at the Senior Bowl. He can rush the passer from the Left D-End side, and is a thumper who plays the run well.

The Reason: Riley looks like a great fit for a West Coast offense.

Second Choice: Chad Jones FS

Jamal Williams NT

Key F.A.  Loses:

Peyton Hillis FB

Casey Wiegmann OC

Andra Davis LB

The Team: The Broncos have some good TEs, but none who can catch the ball.

The Players: Played MLB as a Sophomore. Better in line blocker than his size would indicate.  Tough guy who will fight for every block. 49 catches in 2009. Was named first team All American. Great burst off the line. Played H-Back for two seasons, and will only continue to improve as he gains experience. Smooth in his patterns. Has no trouble with the double move. Gets up the seam quickly and causes a lot of trouble. Makes nice clean cuts and always keeps his quick feet moving. Gets into blocks with explosive quickness, but not necessarily with good power.

The Reason: Dickson is a pure H-Back who can really catch the ball down the middle of the field.

Second Choice: Eric Decker WR

Key F.A. Signings:

Key F.A.  Loses:

Rex Grossman QB

Dunta Robinson CB

The Team: Houston has two good DTs, but they offered virtually no passrush between them. Together they garnered only 2 Total Sacks. Getting a DT who can rush right up the middle would be huge.

The Player: Wilson is an oddly built Passrusher who has the potential to get to the QB in the NFL. His best position in the NFL might be as an interior passrusher. he was moved inside at the Senior Bowl and showed he could rush the QB from inside as well as any player at the Senior Bowl. Stouter against the run than I remember. Might have some potential as a 3-4 End, though I think he is more of a pure 4-3 D-Lineman . Has a great knack for splitting the Double team block. He is not a pure speed guy. He has great size for a D-End and hustles a lot. He had 10.5 Sacks as Junior, but gained too much weight and only had 5.5 as a Senior. He is a very aware player who is always peeking at the QB. he can change direction quickly when the ball is handed off on a delay, Draw, or trick play. He speed will always be a problem, and he will be drafted in relation to his forty time. He can stack and shed and shows good power at the point of attack. He can get caught over rushing sometimes and get washed. Reminds me of a fatter Tambi Hali. He is better athlete than his body shape shows. He played OLB in ECU hybrid 3-4, and actually did look too bad dropping into coverage. He will probably be a situational player in the NFL. Playing at DE on running downs, and moving inside to rush the pass on passing downs. He had a great Senior Bowl, and a lot of scouts where talking about him as a passrushing 3-technique D-Tackle.

The Reason: They are still looking anybody who can help Mario Williams rush the passer. The had 6.5 Sacks combined Sacks from the other 3 starting D-Linemen. Wilson is one of those 1st Round talent who slipped in the 3rd for different reasons. weight.

The Team: The Falcons need help in the secondary.  Cook is fast riser, who has the speed to play Corner and the physicality to play FS.

The Player: Cook came out of nowhere to have a great Senior Bowl. Big tall tough CB. Some of the smoothest feet I’ve seen this year. Nice smooth hips. For a guy who is over 6-1 he is just so smooth. He can snap his hips in either directions with equal efficiency. He will give up leverage too easily for  CB his size, but he has such good feet he can get Back into position. Smart player who does a nice job playing under control. Has amazing size for a CB, looks like a SS on the field. Has nice feet. Good hitter. Could bring a lot of versatility to a defense. Showed he could open his hips and play CB at the Senior Bowl. Looked better in Zone coverage. Needs technique work in press coverage. Has to keep low. Has the long arms and physicality to be a nasty press coverage, but needs a lot of refinement. Also has additional value as a FS. 40 T, 4INTs last season. Turns smoothly in transition, but lacks a true snap in his hips. Nice and smooth, but no lightning. Has nice hips. Gets in and out of his break well. Looks better moving forward. Really shows his explosiveness when he burst forward.

The Reason: Cook is a super surprise sleeper, who dominated the post season. I like him as a big cover Corner. However, his best value might be as a ball hawking cover FS.

Get slow in his backpedal. Nice form. Keeps his hands moving. Nice machinegun feet. Has nice loose swivel hip. Turn smoother to his left. Does a nice job turn and running on deep pass and can locate the ball and highpoint it. A Combine Wonder who has worked himself into the 3rd Round. Had shoulder surgery last year. Aaron Kampman DE

The Team: The Packers can use help all over the Secondary and the O-Line. However, I thought they needed an OLB Passrusher before they lost Kampman. Brad Jones was a rookie 7th Round pick last year who played well filling in for the injury Kampman. He will be ask to step into the starting role next season. He is a little light and can be pushed around a little, but he is working hard to gain weight and strength.

The Player: Worilds is undersized speed rusher who plays with underrated strength. He odes a good job working down the line on inside runs. He can rush with a nice combination of strength and long arms (32 7/8" Arms). He drops back into coverage about 10% of the time. He knows how to use his long arms as weapons against big ORT. Excellent quickness and can change direction instantly when he is fooled. I really like his initial burst. Well built athlete who looks like he’s spent a lot of time in the weight room. A pure edge guy who can really look explosive when moving forward. Does a good job playing and staying low. Looks like a natural knee bender. Good feet shuffling laterally. Great feet. This kid can really move his feet. Quick twitch athlete. Has that knack for hitting the Quarterback. Just a pure passrusher. Play him at OLB in a 3-4 or a DE in a 4-3, it doesn’t matter, he has that knack for hitting the Quarterback. And it’s like I always say if you can’t hit the Quarterback you can’t win in the NFL. He had 11 TFL, 4.5 Sacks, and 49 T last season. Nice hips. Smooth out in coverage and changing direction. Played DE at Virginia Tech, but has the feet and grace in space to play OLB in a 3-4. he really looked like an OLB at the Combine. His initial burst might be as good as anyone in this Draft not named Graham or Hughes. Does a good job bending his knees and sinking his hips. Moves laterally with good quickness and balance.

The Reason: Getting another OLB/Passrusher would really help this defense.

He is also a good receiver out of the backfield who garnered 53 Catches for 336 Yards in his career. He is also a very underrated athlete. He is a tough inside runner with speed to the outside. he also a good blocker. He had great Senior Bowl. Showed better speed than he has been given credit. He just separated from everyone they put on him. We all know he has the speed, but what impressed me the most was his quickness, and his ability to run NFL patterns with great suddenness, and cause separation on his cuts and comebacks. The Player: Wilson is a freakish type athlete. He can read the run quickly and attack. Looks best moving forward. Can hold OL on opposite  shoulder, and still take on block and still hit RB. Does a good job keeping OL on his opposite shoulder. earned starting position of Shrine.  Flows to the ball well, and can redirect quickly on cutback. Can really read the running play faster than anyone eels on the field, and attacks low and with excellent force.  Doesn’t look back moving backwards. Has nice quick feet, and uses a 3/4 backpedal to the side the QB is looking, and after he waists a step or two, he really look smooth moving back in PC. Does a good job attacking FB, and can really stick him, bounce off him, and still tackle RB in the hole.

He’s an excellent athlete who can cover a lot of ground.  Very instinctive. Looks like a minimally he’ll be  a special team maven.  However, as an ILB, I like the way he attacks the LOS on running downs. Can be fooled by flow and misdirection.  Physical player, who can take on the FB in the hole, force RB to redirect, and still move laterally to make Tackle. The more I watch him the more I like him. Has good open field speed, and get from the middle of the field all the way over to the sideline on the swing pass to the RB.  Tackles with good form and lean, and does a good job of forcefully hitting RB  with shoulder pads.

The Player: Smooth super athlete. Has everything you want in a WR, except hands. Excellent blocker. Uses his size well to impact DB. Good athlete. He is a special Team maven who has the size and speed to continue being an excellent Gunner and Jammer. Was a great Safety in HS. Took a long time to grasp the Florida offense. Gets the dropsies sometime, and I just don’t trust Florida WRs. He is another size/speed athlete who needs: top coaching, more seasoning, and the right situation for him to succeed. He can be very physical at the LOS. He caught every ball in gauntlet, which hints that concentration is his problem with his dropsies. When he looks it into his heads, He can catch the deep ball over his head. He can get open deep, and really does a good job locating the ball, and catching it over his he when he looks in the ball and concentrates. During the off season he has shown significant improvement in his hands. He has has multiple run ins with the law, and is inconsistency in life shows in his hands on the field. He also played baseball, and might have spoiled athlete syndrome. A one year wonder who who garnered more yards (961) and catches (51) his senior year than he did his whole career, and tied his TD totals for his career (9) as well. Made a lot of money in the off season. He looks good at the Senior Bowl, where he was physically bullying the WR in practice. He caught everything at the Combine and his Proday. Plus, he ran a 4.15 SS, and a 6.73 3-Cone at his Proday, anything under a 7.00 is a remarkable time for the 3-C.

You have to remember this guy is 246 pounds, and he can find the hole and run through it with good speed. This is a serious weapon for such a big guy. Comparisons to Brandon Jacobs really showed on the field at Senior Bowl. Averaged over Seven yards a carry junior year and garnered 17 TDs. There is an old scouting axiom that says, if a RB averages over 6YPC in college, he will likely average over 4 YPC in NFL. I don't know if that axiom still holds true, but I wouldn't bet against it. I know I’m suppose to hate this guy, but I just love the way he runs. He always is moving forward, even when three defenders are hitting and trying to drive him back. Truly amazing power. I am declaring this guy a late round super steal. I am also declaring him a better prospect, right now, than Brandon Jacobs when he came out, and I had Jacobs as my Super-Steal at RB. Reminds me of a bigger Corey Dillon in power running and attitude.

He can squats 615 pounds, and Power cleans 385, which many NFL guy see as a good measurement for lower body strength and explosion. Has experience as at Undertackle. Good initial burst. When he stays low and extends his arms he can really give a heavy punch. The more I watch him the more I like him. Will get himself off balance sometimes with his aggressive play. He is super tough DT, who has better size than I remember. Looks like he is tailor made to play NT in the NFL. He has great interior quickness, and is so adept at shooting the Gap, that he should be able to cause a lot of problems in the NFL.  Plus, he is also tough and a fighter. He goes against bigger guys ever week, and never backs done. Comes off the line with good explosion, and arms extended. His first move is forward while extending arms, and these are the guy who usually make it in the NFL, he doesn’t raise up first, and stays and plays low. He displays good power, because he get under the OL pads consistently. Played essentially NT at Shriners, and did an exceptional job. Can stand up the double team, and stalemate them. He can two-gap the OC. He can extend arms stand him up, and control him until the RB makes his move. He was the one DT the East doubled-teamed the whole game. Inconsistent with balance, and when he gets off balance he get put on skates. When he stays low he looks like a legit NFL prospect, but when he gets to high, he allows OL to get him off balance. Needs to win the battle at the LOS instantly, or he has trouble disengaging. When he gets the )-Lineman's shoulder, he just keeps driving the O-Lineman backwards. He played so well at the East West that he was invited to the Senior Bowl, and really impressed there as well.

However, he is an excellent athlete with that money-making knack for getting to the Quarterback. Had a good Senior Bowl. Looked like a 3-4 OLB. Led SEC in Sacks. Extends his arms well to keep the bigger OTs off his body. A little short. Has very thick strong legs. Plays the run well. Could be a steal for a 3/4 team looking for a Rush Linebacker. Great athlete who really looked good in the drills at the Combine. In fact, he looked so good at the Combine I think he is athletic enough to play OLB in a 4-3. he showed well at the Senior Bowl. The Player: Hernandez is a small fast H-Back type who knows how to get open and catch the ball. He was Tebow's safety net. Good hands, and can catch the ball while running full speed. He had a very productive season last year, but didn't see the field nearly enough earlier in his career because of Character Concerns. Great athlete. He can own the seam and loves the flag route. Often lines up in the Slot. Looks like and H-Back, and is a terrible blocker. He he is clutch receiver who Tebow seems to throw to the most in important situations. He garnered 68 Catches for 850 yards and 5 TDs. Some scouts had him a 4.58 in his Forty on his Proday, and did 30 Reps at the Combine.

The Team: Titans have are looking for a young interior O-Lineman or two.

The Player: Mike Johnson is the 2nd most versatile O-Linemen in the Draft behind Trent Williams. Great run blocker. He will miss assignment in Pass Protection sometimes, but he is a terrific physical run blocker. He can get low and into the DT, and keep his feet moving. He can drive the DT backwards or down the line. Not the niftiest OG when he is pulling. but he can run with power and keep the D-Lineman on his insdie shoulder and sustain the block for the entire run. He can chip on D-Tackle and help turn him, and still pop out and attack the ILB. He has a good punch. He keeps his arms up and ready in Pass Protection. The more I watch him the more I like him. He does a great job getting to the 2nd level and sealing the LB. Started at OLG in Senior Bowl Game. Used his great long arms to great effectiveness. In first play from scrimmage he was able to stone the DT, and still get out side and stone the OLB. I thought he was outstanding in the Championship Game, and continued that outstanding play in the Senior Bowl. He ran a 5.37 Forty at Combine, but had a terrible start . Bounced over to OLT when André Smith got suspended for 2009 Bowl Game, and didn’t look out of place. Excellent quick feet, but needs to bends his knees more. His most impressive stats are games played an started. He has started 41 consecutive games, and not all at OG. He has started at all 4 O-Line positions, except O-Center. He started ten games at ORT. He has played in 54 Games at all four outside O-Line positions. Over half his starts are at OLG, but he also had starts at ORG.

The Player: I am not a big fan of beadles, he too often plays out of balance. He played OLT at Utah, but because of size most think he will be an OG in the NFL. However, the latest news is that teams are looking at him at OC, and I like him as an OC a lot more than an OT or OG. He has short arms. Played OLT at Utah , but has short arms that will limit him to inside. He is a smart tough kid that is tough to root against. Some scouts think his best position in the NFL will be at OC, I don’t know if I buy that? Played OC at Senior Bowl and was not a disaster.

The Reason: Falcons are looking for help on the O-Line, especially at Center.
