He Doesn't Know What he Doesn't Know.

Part II.

Belichick took a big chance with Patterson. "I don’t know what you’ve been through in the past, but basically, we get the job done here," Patterson said. "We’re gonna make you the player that you should be." First he has to learn to run, not just NFL patterns, but Patriots patterns.

He doesn't know what he does know. "There’s going to be something each day that you don’t know and you thought you knew," Patterson said. "You wake up, and it’s something different. 'Oh, I didn’t know that.' You only know what you think you know." The question is can he be humble enough to not just get by on physical talent, but learn how to get more from his mental talent.

That has been his problem since he came into the League. "Just put me on the field. It will take care of itself," Patterson said he told McDaniels. "That’s something I’ve been doing my whole life, making plays, playmaker. I don’t like when somebody tries to label me as this or that. I just go out there, and do what I’m supposed to do. And have fun while I’m doing it." Yeah, that ain't gonna work.

That is not how it is done here, and it has not worked for him so far. He is All-Pro KR, not an All-Pro WR, and he sucked as a KR last season. Having Brady doing some individual work with patterns on Wednesday was exciting to see. Brady only throws to guys who run patterns the way he likes. He showed the breaks he expects when the Corner is in transition from his pedal, and where he wants Patterson to be. Paterson was smart enough to take note.

On Thursday he was running patterns outside. Both situations came up, the inside and the outside press coverage that he and Brady were practicing together on Wednesday. It wasn't perfect. He struggled a little with his hands shoving off on the break inside. However, Brady threw him the ball both times on the Comebacks, and he caught them. That is how you get Brady to throw you the ball. Make the adjustments the way he sees the game.

The most important thing I saw in Thursday practice was Patterson seeing what Brady saw, and making the adjustments he showed him; That where the way he saw the game. He did another little push off, a third time late in practice on a Comeback outside.

So why is that pattern so important? Because defenders have to respect Patterson outside speed. "I was excited," Patterson said about coming to the Pats. "Like you said, they make it to the Super Bowl almost every year. If they don’t, they win it." He was a Deep-threat/returner in Minny, and he wants to be more in New England.

Running patterns, and running patterns Brady's way, is the next adjustment he has to make to become a legit NFL WR. "I went up there the day after I got traded, and just talked to Josh about, 'what am I good at? And how can I help the offense?'" Patterson said. "And I just basically told him, put me on the field. It’ll take care of itself. That’s something I’ve been doing my whole life: making plays, playmaker. I don’t like when somebody tries to label me as this and that. I just go out there and do what I’m supposed to do and have fun doing it." Corners are going to bail quicker on Patterson than other WRs, because he is know for his size speed ratio, and not his intricate pattern running.

So coming back will leave him wide open. But after three or four catches the CB has to make an adjustment. So after Brady hit him with three comebacks, the CBs adjusted. Then just at the end of team practices, Patterson took off down field, and Brady threw him a beauty. He ran by the CB, like he was watching butterflies in the outfield. Patterson pulled in the easy 70-yard TD pass to end Practice. And don't kid yourself, that play was set up by the work he and Brady did on Wednesday, and the great break-off Patterns he ran earlier on Thursday.

He set them up by running patterns the way Brady sees it. "To have a guy like Cordarrelle, there’s nobody like that in the league," Slater said. "It’s exciting to think about the possibilities, but there are no guarantees. We have to lay the foundation, each and every day in practice. It’s not just going to happen." BB took a bet that Patterson could be as explosive in the offense as he was on Special Teams, and it paid off on Thursday.

Now I'm not saying that I believe. But I'm saying' there's a chance...

Be A Citizen! Not a Subject!

Fascist is as Fascist does. Beware American. President Fredo is pulling the cowardly republican Senate closer and closer to the cliff.

Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances:

The 1st Amendment to the Constitution is the greatest paragraph ever written by mankind. It is the truest diagram of how to ensure a free Country of citizens survives. But is is also a list of what to attack when you want to be a fascist dictator. President Jerkballs is attacking every article in the 1st Amendment. Beware subjects, or you will be subjugated:

Trump is now committing open TREASON, and bragging about it to his political prisoners at his Hitler-style loser rallies. Trump is now obviously attempting to overthrow our Democracy. It is no longer a question is him refusing to give up his Presidency! It is only a matter of how he thinks he can get away with it.

"If Donald Trump was elected with any mandate, it was to shake up the orthodoxy—to challenge the establishment and its established ways of operating. To drain the swamp. What he actually delivers, however, may be transformation that even many of his supporters come to regret.
Nowhere has the mandate for change been more forcefully exercised than in the field of criminal and counterintelligence investigations of the president and his closest associates. His last tweet of the day on May 20 sounded more like a proclamation:

I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes - and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration! Adolph H. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 20, 2018.

The tweet provoked complaints that the president was breaching norms essential to the functioning of our democracy: As The New York Times wrote, it “ratcheted up his willingness to impose direct political control over the work of law enforcement officials.” And yet it seems that much of America shrugged, apparently either supportive or tolerant of the president’s efforts to stick it to the man. One person’s hallowed tradition is another’s hidebound ritual. Why should they care?"

Do you remember during the Campaign when Trump refused to say he would submit to a peaceful transition of power. Well that was widely misunderstood. The Peaceful Transition of Power is imperative from the LEAVING President, not the INCOMING President elect. The question was never Obama transitioning power to Trump. Who didn't understand that, and though they were talking about him giving up his presidency if he was elected, and took a month to finally say yes.

"The inflammatory performance came just hours after White House press secretary (the TREASONOUS) Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to distance herself from Trump’s previous assertions that the media is the “enemy” of the American people. Pressed during a White House briefing on the issue, Sanders said Trump “has made his position known.

"In a heated exchange with reporters, she recited a litany of complaints against the press and blamed the media for inflaming tensions in the country:

"As far as I know, I’m the first press secretary in the history of the United States that’s required Secret Service protection," the Traitor said, "accusing the media of continuing to ratchet up the verbal assault against the president and everyone in this administration."

That delay, and open insanity, is CHILLING NOW!

"Beto O’Rourke, the congressman from Texas who’s seeking to oust Senator Ted Cruz, recently broke with fellow Democrats by daring to mention The Issue That Shall Not Be Uttered. Referencing President Donald Trump’s behavior at the Helsinki summit, O’Rourke said: “Standing on stage in another country with the leader of another country who wants to and has sought to undermine this country, and to side with him over the United States—if I were asked to vote on this [in Congress], I would vote to impeach the president."

"There it was, the dreaded I word that Democratic leaders have virtually banned from the 2018 campaign conversation. O’Rourke, in his remarks to The Dallas Morning News, offered a reasonable explanation for his stance—“"Impeachment, much like an indictment, shows that there is enough there for the case to proceed"—but few, if any, Democratic midterm hopefuls seem eager to go there. A candidate like Andy Kim, who’s trying to flip a red congressional seat in South Jersey, has no problem calling Trump’s Helsinki performance "disappointing, dangerous, and detrimental to our national security," but, like his brethren, he won’t broach the I word."

"Some Democratic activists—most notably the billionaire Tom Steyer, whose "Need to Impeach" movement boasts 5.5 million signatures—believe that the Democrats, by muzzling the I word, are "normalizing" Trump’s abuses (as Steyer puts it) and therefore failing to stand up for the rule of law. And some outside observers insist that the I word is fully justified. Former CIA Director John Brennan tweeted that Trump’s decision in Helsinki to side with Vladimir Putin against the U.S. intelligence community “rises to & exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes and misdemeanors.’ It was nothing short of treasonous.""

Hey Trump, go pee in a hole!
