off I just want to thank all the fans of this site. I have been
promoting my books for sale primarily on this site. As a result, I
have sold almost 500 books in the past year. Thank you for your
support and patronage, both are greatly appreciated. I cannot tell
you how happy it made me when I read that report. So thank you Draft
fans and Patriot fans alike, and mostly thank you to all the fans of
my books and website worldwide.
For Indy: Part II.
Run For Your Lives- Sony
Michel brought a whole new aspect to the Pats offense. He dominated Miami.
Though I thought it was more the O-line than Michel. He got 10-yards downfield
a number of times seemingly untouched. The Pats really need that
production this week.
I worry that it was a scheme thing. Miami seemed to be defenseless
stopping the Toss Sweep. Michel wasn't running a large variety of plays.
It seemed every time he ran a Toss Sweep to either side the Dolphins' D
looked like they had never seen it before.
he did make plays in the run as the game went on. "It started all in
practice," Michel said. "Our guys made a good emphasis and coached talked about starting fast. We had to do it in practice and I think we as a [team] did a great job starting fast in practice throughout the week. We did a good job executing our plays and it translated over to the field
today." He did make guys miss.
also ran over a few DBs. "We expect to [run the ball]," Andrews
said. "We hold ourselves to a pretty high standard and unfortunately we haven’t been doing that the past couple of weeks. We put a lot of work in this week in practice and all of that came to a head
today." The O-line also dominated pulling outside in space.
don't know if they can do that against Indy. Miami looked like they had never seen an outside run before. I was
shocked at how incompetent they looked against a simple Toss. And I don't
want to belittle the Pats backs and O-line, but it was weird watching the Dolphin
defense get trapped inside on outside runs over and over again.
Pats O-line is going to face a much tougher beast, with half the time to prepare
as last week. The Colts D had 7-Sacks last week, which could be good for
the Pats. Teams rarely have their best passrushing stats two week in a row. The
passrush is one of the most inconsistent things in football. But after not
having a decent rush for years (I just kept writing they needed to draft a
D-end to rush the QB over and over after the past few years;), seven sacks
in one game is impressive.
the Pats will look to run again. To take pressure, and the rush, away from
Brady. While the 7 Sacks was an aberration, they do have 17 sacks on the season,
which is about 3.3 Sacks a game in the first three games. We don't need to
see Brady hit three times, never mind sacked three times. All teams change
every year, and Indy is no different. I don't know how and when, but Indy
finally develop a good passrush.
The D Lives- That was the
Pats defense that we thought we saw in the Preseason. It was relentless up
field. The D-line rushing up field was what we saw in August. They kept Miami in the
woodshed. They moved the O-linemen back when they wanted to. They broke
past them when they wanted to.
kept getting the Dolphin
into 3rd and long situations. "It’s very important to get them behind the sticks," Flowers said.
"Get them in a situation where they become one-dimensional and we
know what they’re going to do. You put them in a backed up situation,
where it’s maybe an obvious pass, we can execute the game plan better."
They kept getting them into passrushing situations.
they hit the QB as well. "That felt really good," Butler said. "My role is mostly on 3rd
downs. So it felt really good to be out there and help us get the win."
They really beat up the Miami O-line.
was on 1st and 2nd Downs where they looked like they knew what they were
doing, for a change.
"I just think we didn’t put ourselves in holes. We were better on 1st
down, and we were better on 2nd and long," Harmon said. "The
previous games we weren’t as good on first down and second and long we
weren’t good at all, we weren’t even making them get to third down. We
did everything we talked about doing this week. We controlled the line of
scrimmage, the secondary played good, and it helped us get the ball back
in our offensive end." You can't be that good on 1st and 2nd
down without the secondary being great as well.
Pats D has to be better this week, because Luck is back. It took him a
while, but he was 20 of 25 passes for 247-yards, and threw for 3 TDs, in
just the 2nd Half alone! Now, he is not going to be that good two games in a row
in the 2nd Half, but if he is healthy he is a top five QB in the
knows how to win in the NFL. "To a certain degree I appreciate this game way more," Luck said. "I've always loved playing football. And when you can't for whatever reason
(it sucks). I know a number of players go through this, and you get a second chance per se, I certainly appreciate it more. I love being around the guys. I love going out there, playing football. I'm really enjoying it."
He lead them to the Playoff three times, and finally to the AFC Champ game
on his third try.
is at Home on a short week, with an extra day of practice. He had his best
game last week since the injury. The Pats defense was relentless after Tannehill
last week. They have to keep that rush up, or Luck will kill them. This is
going to be an ugly game, because Thursday Night Games are stupid.
A Citizen! Not a Subject!

cowardly republican Senate closer and closer to the cliff.
