Pats Vs. KC. Part I.

By TOM

To me. This game started late in the 3rd when KC went for One instead of Two. The extra point made it 27-26 Patriots. It really took a lot of pressure off the Pats. KC had to get ahead, but the Pats had an out. This was the decision that changed the game for both teams the rest of the way.

Being up four is an odd number, but it is an advantage. This little advantage was the key to the rest of the game. “Like I said, every game is different. Each game has its own dynamics and the team you're playing and the situations,” BB said. “They're all a little bit different. Sometimes they fall into a general category. Sometimes they fall a little bit outside of that and we just have to try and react to it and do the best you can.” I though not going for two was the mistake that won the game for the Pats. Because KC had to score a TD.

The Pats could kick a FG to match a KC TD, but KC did not have that luxury. So the Pats were able to run more, which takes press off the QB. The run games hurt pass-rushers, allows play-actions to succeed more, and gives the BY some free yards. That was the key to the strategies that played out with both Head Coaches in the 4th Quarter.

The Pats lined up in a Weak formation, after KC's decision to go not for the 2-point conversion. They knew they had some time to kill. So they ran Sony behind Develin. He slammed into the line for very little. But the clock wind down almost out of the Third.

2nd and 8, the Pats lined up in a 3-Wide Weak shotgun, and Brady took a shot down the field. “It was pretty good. You know, we had control and then we let them back in the game with some [crap],” Brady said. “You know? The fumble was a bad play. But, they were making plays on offense. We were making plays. And, we talked about competing for 60 minutes, and that's what it took. It took us right down to the last three seconds.” It didn’t well, as the pass play wasn’t perfect.

Both team were called for off setting penalties. So they lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun with 12-seconds left in the Third. Brady stepped up perfectly to avoid the edge rusher Dee Ford on his right. He hit Edelman on a flag 15-yards downs field. He almost ran to midfield to finally end the Third Quarter.

The Pats lined up to start the 4th in a stacked right 4-Wide Weak shotgun. They ran Michel on a Dive. “Sony gets better every day. He gets better every week. He's still got a long way to go, but he does a lot of good things out there,” BB said. “We'll just keep trying to get him more experience and get him more reps and opportunities to see different things. The defenses that we've seen the past few weeks from Miami to Indy to Kansas City last night were quite different,” He barely got a cloud of dust, as they had a lot of blockers outside.

2nd and 7, the Pats lined up in a 3-Wide Weak shotgun. They ran a draw again. They have been running a lot of counters where the RB heads at an angle outside, and the O-line often angles inside. This was the case here. This time Waddle slammed down inside, and Sony angled outside behind his block, as Gronk sealed the Edge guy outside. Edelman had a great block outside on the corner, which gave White the First.

1st and 10 at the 38, the Pats motioned into a 3-Wide Weak shotgun. They ran a draw to White, and Ragland crushed him in the hole. So the Pats went Empty. White motioned into the backfield into a 4-Wide Strong Shotgun. White swung out into pattern, and Brady threw to him. He almost juked Anthony Hitchens for a First, but the LB just held on.

3rd and 1, Shaq got knocked back by the DT, as Brady hand the ball off to Michel. But Sony skipped over Shaq’s ankles, and follow Develin outside. “Sony runs hard,” BB said. “He's picked up a lot of tough yards for us. So that was a big run.” He squeaked past two defenders, and fell forward for a First at the 25.

1st and 10, the Pats lined up in a Twins Left Weak Formation. Sony followed Develin into the Hole on a Dive. But there were two linebacker waiting there for them.

2nd and 8. Pats lined up in a 4-Wide Strong shotgun. Brady hit White on the same swing pass he threw a couple play ago, only this time for a couple. 3rd and 6, they motioned into a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Brady went to his third read, and lofted it to White angling to the corner. But he was covered like the DB had an umbrella.

Gostkowski kicked the field goal to put the Pats up 30 to 26. This was a big advantage for the Pats. The difference between four points and three points was what the rest of this game was about. "That was a great job by our players and coaching staff tonight, just battling for 60 minutes. We talked about it all week. We really hadn't played a close game this year. We expected it to be that way and it certainly was," BB said. "Kansas City is a good football team. Andy [Reid] does a great job, as he always does. They were tough to handle. But in the end we were able to just do a little bit more, do enough. Just really proud of the way we competed tonight all the way through from the opening kickoff to the final kick was just great effort."

Be A Citizen! Not a Subject!

Fascist is as Fascist does. Beware American. President Fredo is pulling the cowardly republican Senate closer and closer to the cliff.

Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances:

The 1st Amendment to the Constitution is the greatest paragraph ever written by mankind. It is the truest diagram of how to ensure a free Country of citizens survives. But is is also a list of what to attack when you want to be a fascist dictator. President Jerkballs is attacking every article in the 1st Amendment. Beware subjects, or you will be subjugated:

He is more interested in representing Tyrants.

He thinks the murderous villain who calls himself

the Crowned Prince of Saudi Arabia

(whatever the hell that means?),

has a special place in his fat heart.

And of course the MASS MURDEROUS
