Thank you for your support and patronage, both are greatly appreciated. I cannot tell you how happy it made me when I read that report. So thank you Draft fans and Patriot fans alike, and mostly thank you to all the fans of my books and website worldwide.

Hanging On.

The Ravens started off the 2nd quarter jumping off sides. Then they lined up on 2nd and 9 in a 3-Wide Strong Shotgun to start the 2nd quarter. The Pats matched up in a 4-2 Nickel. Branch put the OLG on skates, but then got hit in the side by the OC and fell down. Flacco had to dump the ball off to West. Chung hit him instantly as the ball arrived. Ninkovich helped him out.

3rd and 7, the Ravens came out in a 3-Wide Winged shotgun. The Pats matched up in a meandering 2-4 Nickel. They sent five, but two didn't really rush as they spied the RBs in the backfield. Flacco had time and hit Aiken in the flat for a 1st.

1st and 10 the Raven lined up in a Singleback. The Pats matched up in a 3-3 Nickel. The O-line slanted to the left, right off the snap. The defense read the shift and danced with them to the right. Flacco handed the ball off to Dixon. Ninkovich swooped in from behind and to drag him down.

2nd and 8, Empty. The Pats matched up with six guys crowding the line. They brought five. There were a couple of twists. Flacco got spooked and threw the ball before any of his WRs turned around. 3rd and 8, Empty. The Pats lined up in a 4-2 Nickel. They brought three. Flacco had a ton of time, and threw a terrible pass to Dixon in the flat to force the punt.

The Pats lined up Empty. Brady had time and hit White, who was lined up outside quickly. 2nd and 4, Empty. Brady fired quickly again. This time to Edelman, but he had the ball kneed out by Mosley. 3rd and 4, Empty. Brady hit White on a cross, and then turned up field. He put the jets on, and separated himself impressively from two defenders. He ran past midfield, and cut back behind Weddle. Weddle had to spin back, but stayed in front of him. Webb finally caught up from him from behind, as he slowed a little on the cutback.

"Third down is an important down, each and every week," White said. "It's always going to be a punt or we're going to convert, so we're just trying to convert as many times as possible to keep the drives going."

1st and 10 at the 15, the Pats get called for an illegal shift. 1st and 15 at the 20, the Pats lined up in the Big Ugly I. Blount followed a pulling Shaq and Develin into the hole, angling outside, between Solder and Bennett. Then he just kept going at a 45-degree angle outside for over 10-yards.

2nd and 2, they stayed in the Big Ugly I. They run the same play to the opposite side. Only Thuney pulled to the right. Blount followed him and Develin through the hole. He powered through the second level for a 1st. Then he dragged a few guys to the Five.

"I mean LeGarrette Blount is really good and our offensive line is doing a great job," Bennett said. "David Andrews, Nate, Marcus Cannon have been playing well as well as Shaq. Then we have [Fleming] coming in at the extra tight end and he's been doing an excellent job blocking and Develin has been doing a great job at fullback. It's a little bit of everybody. We have good backs, but it takes everyone to get a yard so everyone is competing and everyone is fighting no matter what."

1st and goal from the Five. The Pats stayed in the Big Ugly I. They run a smash to the right again, and this time the big DT Williams dug through the O-line. 2nd and goal form the Six. Pats lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Brady tried to hit Edelman, but Suggs leaped up and batted the ball down.

3rd and goal from the six, the Pats lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Mitchell ran a Slant inside. Brady threw a perfect pass. "He's done a great job for us," Brady said. "It says a lot for a rookie to be playing his best in December. It speaks to what he's all about, his mindset, his character, his determination. He's worked his butt off since he got here and he's put himself in a great position. With Danny [Amendola] getting hurt he's gotten more opportunity, and we're going to need it." Mitchell got inside position and just had to get his hands up and hold on. Pats-16.

The Ravens lined up feeling some pressure. They lined up in a 3-Wide Singleback. The Pats matched up in a 3-3 Nickel with a Chung in the Box. They ran West up the gut. Branch broke free inside and dived at his feet. He tripped him a little, but West was able to hop cut to the left and maintained his balance. Hightower got there next and held on as Sheard swooped in to help.

2nd and 9, the Ravens lined up in a stacked up Strong shotgun. The Pats stayed in the 3-3 Nickel. They only sent three again. But Flacco was stuck in the pocket with nowhere to throw. He finally armed a bomb deep down the seam. Wallace looked back for the ball, as McCourty flew into him. The ball flew right between Wallace's wide open arms.

It slammed into McCourty's gut and hands. "I didn't really expect it," McCourty said. "I was trying not to get a pass interference just knowing Mike Wallace, the speed he has. Being in just that two-high look, running back there and getting into the double coverage with [Patrick] Chung, [I was] able to make a play. I wish they didn't take my returning yards away though." He caught it and was shoved down by Wallace.

1st and 10, the Pats lined up in a Singleback. They ran play action. Brady hit Bennett going down the Seam inside. He broke away from two defenders and ran to midfield.

1st and 10 at the 50, the Pats lined up in the I. Brady had time in the pocket. Then a rusher burst up the gut. He shifted his feet to the left and forward away from the pressure. "He's usually always that way," Mitchell said. "Of course, when we want to do better, he is the leader of the team, so he has to do what he has to do to pick us up." He used his feet to get into position to make the throw.

He hit Mitchell outside. Mitchell caught the ball over his head again. He turned up field and flew over the 30. He tried to make the deep safety miss, but four defenders had him in a box. The Safety dived on his legs at the 16.

1st and 10 at the 16, the Pats lined up in the Big Ugly I. Blount shifted his way through the line. There wasn't much room and he got about all he could get. 2nd and 6 from the 12, the Pats lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. White picked up the blitzer. Brady hit Mitchell on the one-yard line, but he was out of bounds. He almost had three TD catches in this game.

3rd and 7, the Pats lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. White stepped up into the hole and stoned the blitzing LB in the A-Gap. "Third down is a big down in this league," White said. "It's a big play to get us into scoring position. So I just try and do whatever I can to help this team." Brady hit Hogan crossing at the eight. He turned up field for the 1st, but couldn't reach the endzone.

1st and goal, the Pats lined up in a 3-Wide Singleback. They ran Blount on a Smash. The Ravens were ready for it. 2nd and Goal from the Four, the Pats lined up in a Patriots Formation (empty with Brady under center). They faked a jet sweep. Brady hit Hogan again, but he couldn't score again. 3rd and goal from the Two, the Pats lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Brady looked left, and Hogan fell down. Then Brady turned right, and didn't throw the ball away. He turned back to the left and threw it to Eric Weddle.

The Raven went down field and scored a field goal to end the Half. Pats 16. Ravens-3.
