Pats Vs. Pitt.

2nd Quarter.

Greetings Pats Fans,

First off I just want to thank all the fans of this site. I have been promoting my books for sale primarily on this site. As a result, I have sold almost 500 books in the past year. Thank you for your support and patronage, both are greatly appreciated. I cannot tell you how happy it made me when I read that report. So thank you Draft fans and Patriot fans alike, and mostly thank you to all the fans of my books and website worldwide.

Ugly and Incompetent.

The Pats came out for an ugly three and out, and Brady was just terrible. Bolden dropped the ball on 3rd down. Ever since he fumbled on the goal line, Bolden has completely lost his hands. That pass couldn't have been better. Plus, he was wide open and could have walked to the marker. Then Allen shanked the punt to the 47. We might have to have a discussion about the kicking game later.

1st and 10, the Steelers lineup in a 3-Wide Singleback with a stack on the right. The Pats matched up in their 2-4 Nickel, with Collins and Hightower at ILB. Collins moved forward before the snap. He slashed outside and found Bell in a crowd at the line. Collins sliced between Branch and Brown, hit Bell, and then Branch and Brown jumped on top to help get the bellcow down (sorry, I've been waiting two days to use that). Ninkovich had set the edge nicely, and he got in on the tackle as well.

2nd and 9, Steelers lined up in a 3-TE twins-twins Singleback. The Pats went into a 3-4. But they lined up Collins outside on Green, who was lined up like a WR. He jammed him a little, and then turned and zone dropped. Landry ran playaction, and got pressure from Sheard. He had to step up and dumped the ball off to Bell. But Collins was right there to take him down again. He tried to spin out of the tackle.

However, Collins picked him up from behind, like he is going to suplex him like Burns did to Hogan. However, he restrained himself, and put him back down on the turf. Hightower flew in and legally hit Brown as the whistle was blowing, and he didn't even knock him down. The refs threw a flag. This was the most egregious call of the game. The Pats did the right thing, and Collins restrained himself after watching the Steelers defenders cheapshotting his teammates.

Hightower hit him as the whistle blew, like the Steelers defender did three times to the Pats. But this one was a penalty. Just the kind of ugly and incompetent referring we expect from a Darth Goodell led NFL. I bet if he was serially abusing his wife Darth Goodell, and his Sith Lord John Mara wouldn't have had any trouble with it.

In fact, Mara would have given him a raise. "He certainly admitted to us that he abused his wife in the past," the wretch stain of a human being Mara said, before Brown was given an extension. "What’s a little unclear is the extent of that." Huh! No. Mara needs to be thrown out of the NFL, like Donald Sterling was thrown out of the NBA.

1st and an over-officious 10 at the 33, the Steelers lined up in a 3-Wide Weak shotgun. The Pats matched up in a 3-3 Nickel. Hightower burst into the backfield and was Held by DeCastro. Bell danced around him, and bobbed and weaved around Chung, Collins, and Ryan. Rowe jumped on his back. Bell piggybacked him over the magic yellow line. That was a truly great run.

1st and 10 at the 21, Steelers lined up in a 3-Wide Singleback. The Pats matched up in a 3-3 nickel, with a Chung in the box. They gave the ball to Bell. Man. Brown and Branch clogged up the middle again. Ninkovich helped take Bell down, but that was all Brown and Branch.

2nd and 8, Steelers lineup in a bunched up Singleback. The Pats matched up in a 2-4 Nickel. They ran a screen to Brown out of the Bunch. Butler and Chung corralled him, and then help him out of bounds.

3rd and 3, the Steelers lined up Empty. The Pats matched up in a 3-3 Nickel, but only sent three, which is starting to get annoying. Collins blitzed off the edge and was tackled by the ORT. Sorry Heyward-Bey.

3rd and 13, the Steelers lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun, trips-R. The Pats match up with 2-3 Dime, with all five of the front-five on the line. They rushed three, and the rushers really got abused. But Landry had nowhere to throw. He finally threw a terrible pass that McCourty almost intercepted. Then the kick missed the field goal. So the Pats got a little justice for doing the right thing, and not cheapshotting Bell, and get called for a personal foul anyway.

1st and 10, Pats lined up Empty. The pocket held. But when Brady tried to throw to White cutting under Bennett, the ball was tipped by the DT. 2nd and 10, Pats stayed Empty. Brady has a nice pocket again. This time he threw a rope to Edelman crossing. Gay and Timmons took him down hard. He jumped up and yelled at Timmons. Edelman really is a tough little SOB.

3rd and 3, White motioned next to Brady on the Strongside, and into a 4-Wide Shotgun. Brady kept trying to throw to the right and couldn't find anyone. The Pitt rushers over-rushed and left room for Brady to step up. He took off and slid down a little early, but the refs gave it to him.

1st and 10, the Pats lined up in a powerhouse Singleback. Brady handed the ball off to Blount. Andrews and Thuney won right off the snap. Shaq hopped around them and into the hole, and hit Jarvis. Blount bounced it outside instead of following Shaq. He was washed over by a wave of defenders.

2nd and 10, the Pats lined up in a Trips-R Strong Shotgun. They set up a screen to Blount. He had three O-linemen down field in front of him. But got tripped up by Williams, and was knocked to the ground by Andrews. Which brought us to the 2-minute warning. Then the Pats don't covert and are forced to punt. The refs review the punt, and screwed the Pats (okay, that was excessively homerish). Then the Steeler drove down field, and kick a FG to make it Pats-14. Steeler-7. Ugly Referring-4, at the Half.
