Greetings Pats Fans,

First off I just want to thank all the fans of this site. I have been promoting my books for sale primarily on this site. As a result, I have sold almost 500 books in the past year. Thank you for your support and patronage, both are greatly appreciated. I cannot tell you how happy it made me when I read that report. So thank you Draft fans and Patriot fans alike, and mostly thank you to all the fans of my books and website worldwide.

Mercy Killing: Part II.

1st and 10, the Pats lined up in a Singleback. Cleveland showed blitz. Blount followed Edelman into the hole between Solder and Bennett. Then he cut back inside of Solder and Thuney. He dragged three guys for 4-yards. The Pats lined up and hiked the ball quickly. Brady hit Hogan on the sideline. He was shoved out of bounds just short of the 1st.

3rd and 1, the Pats lined up in an Off-Set Singleback, with Thuney lined up outside of Fleming. The Browns have to shift their defense to the Blindside. Brady checked. Got the snap. And instantly turned to Hogan, way outside on the Blindside. He hit Hogan right on the magic yellow line. He fell forward for a few more.

The Pats came out on 1st and 10 at their own 48 to start the 2nd quarter. They lined up in a 2-TE I. They run Blount off tackle. He just ran diagonally outside for a cloud of dust.

The Pats lined up in a 3-Wide Singleback. Brady and Blount ran a great play action that completely fooled the Browns front-six. "I thought we had our moments," BB said. "We had some good route-running at times. So we had some open receivers on play-action. Which is partially a function of the action that got them open. But you know, we had some good routes on man coverage and there were some tight plays there in zone."

Brady kept his head to the right, and kept the Safeties to that side of the field. "It's something that's important to any passing game: being able to get off the line of scrimmage, be able to get into the route, and get to the depth with the proper spacing between receivers," BB said. "And then winning at the top of the route against man coverage. Being able to create separation, and give the quarterback a place to throw the ball." Hogan broke wide open at the 20.

He cut out a little, and the ball ripped into his arms at the 10, and he fell down. Which was a shame because if he kept his feet it was an easy touchdown. "That really is the passing game for those receivers," BB said. "To be able to get open in man coverage. And to have the spacing and distribution so that we can stretch the zone and be able to get into the areas that the defense [can't touch]. So they can't match each receiver up, and take the pattern away from us." Brady was so in the 1st-game-back zone that he just completed a 50-yards (or so) bomb.

1st and goal from the 7, the Pats line up in a 2-TE I. They gave it Blount on a Smash to the right. He hopped outside to avoid a D-linemen. Then juked inside to make another guy miss, and crashed into the clogged sink in the middle of the field.

2nd and goal from the 5, the Pats lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Brady hit Edelman dragging outside. He had to comeback for the ball. He had to dance around for a while, as defenders were all over him. But he just couldn't shake his way back past the LOS.

3rd and goal from the 5, the Pats lined up in a 4-Wide Strong shotgun. Bennett powered his way past the Holding linebacker, and then turned outside. Brady hit him low and inside. He fell down, as he was concentrating so intently on catching the ball that he forgot to move his feet, for his second TD of the game. "Yeah, it was great, that's why it's a team game," Gronk said. "The two defenders come to me and left Marty in the red zone one-on-one. So it gives other people opportunities to capitalize on them. That's why it's such a great sport to play because it's such a team sport." Pats-23. Browns-Irrelevant.

1st and 10, the Browns lined up in a 2-Wide Weak shotgun with their 5th String Option QB Pryor in, and it just became pathetic. They ran an Option, but he kept it this time. He ran around Collins to the outside. However, Collins caught up at the LOS, and punched the ball out as they both fell down in a heap.

2nd and 10, the Browns lined up in an Option formation with four guys in the backfield. Pryor did a dipsy-do into the backfield. Then waggled outside. He fired the ball into the turf at the WR's feet.

The Browns 4th string QB Charlie Whitehurst ran out onto the field with 11:28 left in the half. Game-Set-Match Pats.
