7 Things for KC: Part III.

By TOM

3. KC Vs Colts 1st Quarter: Part II- Indy lined up in a Huge Singleback, with six OLs, and two TEs. Which is odd, because they are declaring a run, but if they pass they don’t have a lot of targets for Luck. They ran play action, and send out one WR. a TE squeaked through the line late behind the WR, after hitting and getting hit. Then the RB followed behind him, literally, running the same pattern behind him. Luck tried to throw, and the ball got knocked down by a rusher anyway. That might be the worst schemed play I’ve ever seen. You have to have someone to throw too in order to pass the ball, and the three guys they sent out all ran the same pattern out to the left.

2nd and 10, Indy lined up in a 3-Wide Strong-Shotgun. So they had four guys to Luck’s right. KC Matched up with a mishmash 2-4 Nickel. They had entire front six between the tackles, ignored the WRs outside. Indy ran play action. The FB and RB got caught at the LOS. So they didn’t go out in pattern. Luck tried to throw it ever so softly (and stupidly) to the FB who was trapped at the LOS. He threw a softy, like he was throwing it to his five-year old son. Right at the DE Justin Houston, who dropped it. That was so bad that they didn’t even replay it, and then talked about how great Luck is.

3rd and 10, Indy lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. KC matched up in a 3-3 Nickel. They sent four. Luck had to step up into the pocket, and threw as he charged forward. He threw it right into perfect coverage by the CB Chavarius Ward. He knocked it down easily. That was as bad a drive as I have ever seen to force the punt.

1st and 10, KC lined up in a 3-Wide Weak shotgun. Mahomes checked the RB to the Strongside, which they ran out of last time. They ran play action. Then threw to the RB sneaking outside. There is literally one defender in pass pro inside the magic yellow line. But the two LBs got there quicker than I thought they could. The pass was high and outside. The RB bolted off balance leaping up for it.

2nd and 7, KC lined up in 4-Wide Trips left Strong Shotgun. They run an RPO. Mahomes tried to hit Chris Conley on a Slant, but the throw was low. Conley went to his knees to try and snag it, but couldn’t hold on.

3rd and 6, KC motioned into a tight 3-Wide Weak shotgun, Bunch-R. They passed. Mahomes got pressure and took off to his right. He threw a dangerous pass across his body. He leaped out a little and threw it high and outside.

Friggin’ Hill. He was somehow able to stop and leap back. He was crossing left and had to leap back to the right and snagged the high pass. He is a truly great WR. Indy again had no one inside the magic yellow line, and Hill just ran under them. They of course praised Mahomes for the terrible throw, when it was Hill who save his bacon.

1st and 10, they lined up in a 2-Wide (with 2 H-Backs) Weak Shotgun, and it just looked like a run. They got me. They ran a play action, and the Colts LBs read run as well. Mahomes threw to Hill on a deep cross, but it was so off that even Hill couldn’t dive out and touch it.

2nd and 10, KC went 3-Wide Double-Stacked Strong shotgun. They ran a long RPO. Mahomes literarily took the ball back to throw to a double covered Watkins. He hit Watkins in the hands, and it bounced off them.

3rd and 10, KC bunched up the Weakside with a 4-Wide Strong shotgun, and that is obviously a pass on 3rd down. Mahomes hopped right back without a play action, and the RB stayed in to block. Mahomes fired high into great coverage again, and the CB knocked it down. But a flag was unfurled. The D was off sides.

3rd and 5, Empty. Indy sent three and got pressure. Mahomes had to take off. He was tackled short. They decided to go for it. 4th and 1, Twin-TE-R I Formation. They motion Kelce to the left. They run a Dive right up the gut. The Indy defense looked like they never saw such a thing before. He ran for 6-yards and would have had more but he smashed into the butt of the ORT running downfield.

1st and 10, KC lined up in a 3-Wide Bunch-Right Singleback. They ran a little play action, and Mahomes flipped it to Hill on the reverse, which is technically a run. He ran for a 36-yard TD. He is the most dynamic player in the NFL.

1st and 10, the Colts lined up in a double stacked Singleback. KC keyed run and had five guys with their hands down in a 5-2 with the Safety creeping up in front of the TEs on the Strongside. I don’t know if they are going to run, but KC does. They ran a Dive for a solid seven.

2nd and 3, the Colt’s lined up in a 3-Wide Weak shotgun. KC stayed aggressive with five guys on the line three up two down, and two ILB lined up on the magic yellow line. KC was clearly playing the run first, and they were right again. They ran a similar looking Dive. The RB had to cut to his left a little, but Ford still ran him down from behind.

3rd and 2, Empty, KC went into a 2-3 Dime. They sent four. Luck couldn’t find a receiver, and took off to his right. He was shoved out of bounds for the Sack by Houston. That offense is pathetic. I’m not sure if we can learn anything from the terrible play of the Dome QB Luck. Indy clearly couldn’t handle the weather, not just physically, but pathetically mentally as well. The team that deals mentally with the weather the best tonight is going to win.

1st and 10, KC motioned into a 3-Wide Twins-Right Strong shotgun. They ran play action, and I was thinking run again. But the pass was batted down by the blitzing DB. Mahomes made a great play. The DB tried to get to the ball floating in the air behind Mahomes, and he boxed the DB out so he couldn’t grab the rebound.

2nd and 10, KC went 4-Wide Bunch-Right Strong shotgun. He dropped and his first two reads were covered, so he took off to his right. He spotted Kelce in the Box on his left, and zipped it to him quick. Kelce caught it, and ran for the 1st. That was KC's 8th 1st down, with not-ah one for the Pathetic Colts.

1st and 10, 3-Wide Strong Shotgun. That was a clear play action, and Mahomes misfired badly to the WR on the 3rd level. But I even liked that play, because Mahomes was pissed at the terrible throw. He is going to be one hell of a QB.

2nd and 10, Bunch-L Singleback. This should be a run. The Indy scheme when compared to the KC scheme made it look that much more pathetic. Mahomes ran a play action to the RB, and the WR on a fake Reverse. Then threw to Kelce on the 3rd level on a deep crossing route like it was backyard football.

1st and 10, KC went 2-Wide Bunch-Right Weak Shotgun. Hill motioned left out of the bunch, and they ran the Jet Sweep. Hill got outside, and turned the corner. Then he got tripped up.

2nd and 3, KC went 3-Wide Weak shotgun, and they motioned the RB into a Strong Shotgun, and ran. I think that was the second time they did that. So when the RB switches sides in the shotgun look for the Run. The Colts actually played defense, and stopped him short. It looked like they spotted that tendency as well.

3rd and 1, they shifted into a 3-Wide Weak shotgun, with a bunch on the right. Mahomes dropped and had time. Then he rolled to his right, and threw it to #84 the TE Demetrius Harris, as he was being tackled. Harris couldn’t hold on.

4th and 1, KC lined up in a Big Stacked Singleback.  They run a Dive for the First. 1st and 10, they motioned into a double stacked Singleback. You have to think they will run, to run out the 1st quarter. They ran a Smash to end the 1st Quarter.

2nd and 5, KC motioned into a 4-Wide Trips-L Weak shotgun, which is definitely a pass. Mahomes dropped. He never took his eyes off of Hill, and went deep. He misfired to Hill again, who was inside the Five. The cold weather was affecting his throwing a little, and it was in the 30s.

3rd and 8, Hill motioned into a 2-Wide Winged Shotgun, two RBs (usually, but Hill was one of the RBs;) on each side of the QB. Hill took off to the Strongside. Mahomes faked it to him. Then turned and threw to the TE on a screen to the Weakside. Kelce ran for the 1st.

1st and 10, KC lined up in a 4-Wide Bunch-R Strong shotgun- 1 for 1 pass. Mahomes dropped and got Sacked, and was thrown down to the frozen tundra.

2nd and 17, KC went 4-Wide Trips-Right Weak shotgun. Mahomes dropped, but the refs stopped the play because a DL jumped off sides. But he was going to pass, and I really wanted to see what he did after getting jammed down into the cold wet turf.

2nd and 12, KC went 4-Wide Bunch-Right Weak shotgun 1 for 1 pass. Mahomes dropped. Now we’re starting to see some tendencies. Colts Sacked Mahomes. But he flicked it towards a WR outside, and they gave him the pass. He also hurt his right knee. It looked like he bruised it on the tacklers face mask, there was any twist or anything.

3rd and 12, KC went 3-Wide Trips-Right Weak shotgun. Colts got pressure and forced him to his right. He dumped it to the RB, but he couldn’t get the 1st.

I mean… that was as pure a beat down in the 1st quarter as you will ever see. Not just physically, but mentally and schematically as well. Time for Pats fan to start praying for some negative numbers in the temperature department in the 2nd Half tonight.

Be A Citizen! Not a Subject!

Fascist is as Fascist does. Beware American. President Fredo is pulling the cowardly republican Senate closer and closer to the cliff.

The 1st Amendment to the Constitution is the greatest paragraph ever written by mankind. It is the truest diagram of how to ensure a free Country of citizens survives. But is is also a list of what to attack when you want to be a fascist dictator. President Jerkballs is attacking every article in the 1st Amendment. Beware subjects, or you will be subjugated:
