1st Quarter.

The Titans are a weak opponent, but that doesn't mean they can't jump up and bite you in the butt. "If you want to go where we want to go?" Mularkey said. "These are the kind of games you have to win." No one expects them to win. So they have nothing to lose.

The Titans matched up against the 3-Wide Strong shotgun, in a 3-4 with three corners in at Slot CB. The scheme worked as the QB threw the ball out of bounds. 2nd and 10, the Titans matched up in a 3-3 Nickel, with KC in a 3-Wide Weak shotgun. They threw to Hill again, and they got him out of bounds quickly. They did a great job not letting Hill use his speed. Ryan knocked him out of bounds.

3rd and 6, KC went 4-Wide Weak shotgun. The Titans match up in a 3-2 Dime. They sent three, and the other LB picked up the RB sneaking forward, right at the LOS. Smith hit the TE Walker, who went down the Seam, and broke outside.

1st and 10, KC put a big bunch on the Weak side, in a weak shotgun. Titans matched up in a 3-2 Nickel, and put Ryan in front of the bunch, and the other DBs in off. They ran a dive. 2nd and 5, KC lined up in a 4-Wide Strong. Titans matched up in a 4-2 Nickel. They sent five, but KC ran a Draw-fake option. The two big DTs stuffed Hunt it the backfield.

3rd and 6, Titans formed into an odd 3-3 Nickel, with the down linemen lined up outside the Tackles (two on the Weak side, and one on the Strong). The three LBs lined up inside the box between them. Two LBs blitz. Smith got spooked as a DE fell down in front of him, and threw the ball away to force the punt.

I admit that Mariota scared me. "Mariota's had a good year. They really have been in the playoffs here the last couple of weeks," BB said. "They had to win their last regular season game. He brought them from behind 21-3 against Kansas City in Kansas City for a playoff win. I think his performance speaks for itself. I don't think what happened two years ago really has any bearing at all, whatsoever, on this game. I couldn't find any relevance to it." He has not developed into the player I saw at Oregon yet.

But he can cause a lot of trouble in a lot of ways if he can see it. "He's a smart player. They give him quite a bit of responsibility. He can, obviously, handle it well," BB said. "He did a very good job running the no-huddle offense and making plays and adjustments at the line of scrimmage against Kansas City. If he sees a situation in the passing game that he doesn't like he's very strong and athletic enough to extend plays, whether that's buy time for the receivers to get open, throw on the run or in some cases advance the ball himself. He can do all of those things and he does a good job with the decision making process as those situations occur. That goes in the red area, third down and out in the field. He's a smart player that has good judgment, makes good decisions." He hasn't been able to consistently see it yet which I thought would be the least of his problems.

He also showed a knack for playing well in the clutch. "Guys didn’t blink an eye," Mariota said. "I think through this entire season, the ups, the downs, the energy it doesn’t change. You have to give a lot of credit to the guys. Got to give a lot of credit to the locker room for just continuing to believe. These situations are going to continue to prepare us for what’s ahead and again, it’s a fun locker room and a special place to play." He is going to be trouble on Saturday.

The Titans lined up in a 3-wide (stack left) Weak shotgun. They motioned the inside stacked TE to the right. Mariota had the TE open on the seam, but then turned back and threw to the crossing WR. He was hit as he threw. 2-TE I-Formation. They had Twin TEs on the right. They ran a toss to the left. Henry had a nice run outside.

3rd and 3, Empty. Mariota looked right, and went to his 2nd option on the right, as the outside receiver ran inside, and the inside WR Davis, ran a flag. Mariota overthrew him terribly to force the punt.

1st and 10, KC lined up Trips right Weak shotgun. Titans matched up with 8 guys in the Box, and only two Corners in front of the Trips. Smith had time, and threw a dime to Hill. He dropped the ball. 2nd and 10, Empty. Titans sent five guys up to the line in a 3-3 Nickel. They ran a screen to Hunt. He weaved forward for a while.

2nd and 3, KC lined up in a 4-wide Strong shotgun. Titans matched up in a 3-2 Dime. They sent three. Smith dumped it off to Hill crossing underneath. He turned up field for a long run over midfield.

1st and 10, Singleback. Titans matched up in a 3-4, with one CB in Press, and the other in Off so far that he is off the screen. They sent four off the play action. Smith hit the TE Kelce over the dropping LBs. Two DBs came up quick to knock him out of bounds. Titans were in a heavy Zone.

1st and Goal from the 2 and half, double stacked Strong shotgun, the Titans matched up in a 3-4. They ran a draw. The Titans were ready for it, and a bunch of defenders stacked him up. 2nd and Goal from the One, 3-Wide Strong shotgun. The Titans match up in a 3-4 with all the DBs outside on the Trips-Left. KC Slammed Hunt into the endzone for the TD. KC-7. Titans-Zip.

1st and 10, Titans in a 2-TE-Right I. They motioned the outside TE to the other side. Last time they ran away from the twin TEs. This time, they ran the same off tackle play with Henry. He ran for about 3, but Titans were called for a Personal Foul.

2nd and 20, 4-Wide Strong shotgun. They ran Henry again. 3rd and 20, 4-Wide Weak shotgun with WR motion. 3rd and 20, 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Mariota threw underneath the Umbrella to the TE Walker to force the punt.

KC lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. The Titans matched up in a 3-3 Nickel with four guys on the line. They like to stick to their Odd fronts. They sent all four on the line, and the two ILBs fell for the play action. Smith threw over the LBs to Hill running down the Seam. He got across midfield again.

1st and 10, 3-Wide Strong shotgun. Titans matched up in a 3-2 Dime. False start. 1st and 15, Empty. Titans matched up in a 3-3 Nickel with four guys on the line. They sent four. Smith had time to throw to the WR, who ran for the First.

1st and 10, KC in a 4-Wide Strong shotgun. Titans matched up in a 2-3 Dime. They brought six guys up to the line, and stuffed the run. 2nd and 7, KC went 3-WR Singleback. Titans matched up in a 3-4 with five guys on the line. They sent five. Smith had to throw the ball away, as a flag was unfurled. The ORT hogtied the OLB Morgan to the ground. But the refs called a penalty on the Titans.

1st and 10, KC went Singleback. Titans matched up in a 3-4 with three LBs on the strongside. They ran Hill. He bounced it outside smartly to the Weakside, and ran for the First.

KC went into Twin-TE right, Weak Shotgun. Titans matched up in a 3-4, with a safety in the Box like Chung. They went for the play action, as the Titans sent five. Smith hit the TE going down the seam for a TD.

1st and 10, Titans lined up in a double stacked Singleback. They motioned the H-back to the strong side to make a Bunch. Mariota handed the ball off underneath, and he cut behind the bunch. Then bounce it outside for a nice gain. But he fumbled it. The ball bounced out of bounds.

2nd and 7, Titans went 2-Wide Winged Shotgun. They throw to the WR dragging outside, very quickly off the play action. Taylor was knocked out of bounds.

3rd and 3, Titans got into a 3-Wide Winged shotgun, with all kinds of motion. Mariota dropped, but all the guys in the backfield took off into pattern without blocking. Mariota scrambled for the First.

1st and 10, Titans lined up in a 3-Wide Strong shotgun. They ran Henry on a Smash. He ran for a cloud of dust to end the 1st quarter. 2nd and 7, Titans went 2-Wide Twins-Twins (2-WR 2-TE) Strong shotgun. They ran a dive for very little. 3rd and 4, Bunched up 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Mariota checked. He almost tackled himself. Then he threw a great pass on the run, right into Decker's gut. He dropped it like it was a burning log to force the punt.

3-Wide (1TE) Weak Shotgun: Pass 1 for 1.

3-Wide Winged Shotgun: 1 for 1 Pass.

3-Wide Strong Shotgun: Pass 1 for 1.

4-Wide Strong Shotgun: 2 for 2 Run.

Twin-TE-Right 1-Formation: Run 1 for 1.

Twin-TE-Right I (motion): Run 1 for 1

Singleback Bunch-R: 1 for 1 Run.

Be A Citizen! Not a Subject!

Fascist is as Fascist does. Beware American. President Jerkballs is pulling the cowardly republican Senate closer and closer to the cliff.

Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances:

The 1st Amendment to the Constitution is the greatest paragraph ever written by mankind. It is the truest diagram of how to ensure a free Country of citizens survives. But is is also a list of what to attack when you want to be a fascist dictator. President Jerkballs is attacking every article in the 1st Amendment. Beware suckers, or you will be subjugated:
