Pats Vs Pitt: Part I.

Greetings Pats Fans,

First off I just want to thank all the fans of this site. I have been promoting my books for sale primarily on this site. As a result, I have sold almost 500 books in the past year. Thank you for your support and patronage, both are greatly appreciated. I cannot tell you how happy it made me when I read that report. So thank you Draft fans and Patriot fans alike, and mostly thank you to all the fans of my books and website worldwide.

1st Quarter.

Pittsburgh got the ball to start the game. Bell had a long run after the catch to get thing going. Then Flower made a play in the run game to make it 2nd and 6. The Pats really need this kid to win this game. Then Eric Lee drew a flag on DeCastro for a drive ending Hold. On 2nd and 16 they went 3-Wide shotgun. Bell got outside, and then tackled himself to set up 3rd and 8. Pats go 3-2 Nickel. Roethlisberger has to go to his third option, Jesse James. But Chung leaped up and knocked the pass down to force the punt. First defense to force a punt: Pats.

Brady lined 'em up in a stacked H-Back Singleback after his terrible week last week. They ran play action to Dion. Brady quickly turned around and hit Dion for a nice gain. He ran for the first.

1st and 10, Empty. The O-line kept the pocket clean, and Brady hit Dorsett underneath. 2nd and 6, Brady went under center in a Weak formation. They ran Lewis up the gut. He danced and wiggled, but there wasn't much there. 3rd and 1, 3-Wide Singleback. Watt tackled Solder, and all the flags were unfurled. Heyward was called for jumping too soon.

1st and 10, the Pats lined up in a 3-Wide Singleback. They ran a great play action on the end around that fooled me. Then Brady was suddenly throwing 40-yards down field to Cooks for almost a touchdown.

1st and goal at the 7, the Pats went Twin TE left Singleback. They ran Dion. He weaved through the line, and then spun down just short. 2nd and Goal from the 1 and half, the Pats rushed up to the line with the Steelers still in a state of confusion. They lined up in a Gigantic-I. Brady handed it to Rex Hammerhead. He drove himself through the line, hammerhead first, for a great TD behind Shaq, Fleming, Gronk, and Develin. Pats-7. Pitt-Zip.

The Steelers lined up suddenly down 7 again. The Pats went 4-2 Nickel. The coverage was good. After Roethlisberger looked at a couple WRs, he dumped it off to Bell. Gilmore, who is an excellent tackler, slammed him to the ground.

Pitt stacked up the weakside again, which left room for Bell on the Strongside. But he went to the weakside, and Brown crossed in front of him. Brown caught it short. Butler slammed out of bounds for Brown's 100th catch on the season for the fifth straight year. A record that is incredible.

On 2nd and 5, Pitt had gained some momentum. But they tried to run off tackle to the strongside. Flowers and Guy got out there to meet him. He was lucky to reach the LOS.

3rd and 5, Pitt lined up in that left-handed shotgun, with Bell on the right. Roethlisberger got pressure from Flowers, but he missed. Then Adam Butler got pressure. But Roethlisberger was able to zip it to Brown short. He ran for the First.

Pitt is now over midfield at the 31. This is were the bending usually starts to tighten. The Pats stayed 4-2 Nickel against the Empty formation. The O-line won, but Roethlisberger threw the ball out of bounds outside the endzone. 2nd and 10, they stayed Empty. The Pats flowed into a 4-1 Dime. They brought five, three on the weakside, and stunted the strong side D-End inside. This spooked Roethlisberger a little. He threw it high and inside to Bryant. Gilmore punched the pass out.

3rd and 10, Pitt in a 3-Wide Weak shotgun. The Pats brought 7-guys up to the line, 4-up 3-down. They sent five, and then two more dropped out. JuJu broke underneath, and two of the rushers who dropped out picked off the DB covering Juju. So he was able to turn up field for the First.

1st and 10 from the 18, the Pats go back into the 4-2 Nickel. This is usually a run down for them. They ran a great play action. Roethlisberger went over the top of Bryant who leaped up and scored.Pats-7. Pitt-7.

The Pats traveled downfield a little, but a Sack put them in trouble. Thuney got beat by Cameron Heyward for his 10th Sack of the Season. The Pats cannot recover and are forced to punt. It was so bad that White sprained his ankle on 2nd down.

Pitt lined up in an opposite shotgun they'd been using. They stack up the Strongside, and put Bell over on the Weakside. Pitt skied over midfield with a great pass and catch by Roethlisberger, as he was being hit by Wise, to Bryant. 3rd and 18 at the 25, could go down as the play of the game. Flowers got a great rush on Roethlisberger. He delayed rushed, and then slapped Roethlisberger as the OLT held him, and forced him back. Then shoved off the OLT's hands, and slapped Roethlisberger again as he threw. The ball was off just enough for Harmon to catch up, and knock the ball out with his hand and shoulder. Brown got injured on that play and carried off the field.

On 3rd and 18, Roethlisberger was sacked. By Flowers, Wise, and Adam Butler to force the field goal when it looked like they were going to score a certain TD. The Pats defense didn't break, and took Brown out of the game. Pats-7. Pitt-10.
