Pats Vs Bills: Part II.

Greetings Pats Fans,

First off I just want to thank all the fans of this site. I have been promoting my books for sale primarily on this site. As a result, I have sold almost 500 books in the past year. Thank you for your support and patronage, both are greatly appreciated. I cannot tell you how happy it made me when I read that report. So thank you Draft fans and Patriot fans alike, and mostly thank you to all the fans of my books and website worldwide.

2nd Quarter.

The Bills drove down field and kicked a Field Goal to start the 2nd Quarter. "It was a good defensive game," Trey Flowers said. "We started off slow, but once we came out in the 2nd half we made a lot of plays out there. So it was a good Christmas present." Roberts and Flowers stopped a run on 2nd down, and McCourty had Shady shutdown.

The Bills went for it on 4th Down, which was a mistake. "The 4th-down stop was the big stop," BB said. "We had a lot of fast players on the field to chase Taylor. I thought they did a pretty good job of containing him. He’s a hard guy to handle. So is McCoy, but I thought some of our faster players, our overall team speed at times, was good enough to keep them from getting too far away from us." You always take the points on the Road.

The Bills lined up in a Trips-right Strong shotgun. The Pats matched up in a meandering 3-2 Dime. Wise flushed Taylor with a great straight arm shiver that got the OLT off balance. Taylor took off to the right, with Flower into pursuit. But Marquis Flowers was able to shed the ORT, and cut off his angle to the marker.

Then Taylor tried to jump back jack, and twist around him. "He's coming along and he's making a lot of great plays," Trey Flowers said about Marquis Flowers. "We knew that dealing with Tyrod that he, (Flowers) would be the one to come down, and has the speed to catch up to him, and wrap him up. He did a great job of just containing Tyrod and mirroring him. And just being there as a presence. He made some great plays when he had to." But Marquis was able to maintain position and took him down for a 7-yard loss.

Brady lined up in a Strong Formation, which is a run formation. They ran Gillislee to the opposite side of the FB. He got crushed for a cloud of dust. 2nd and 7, Empty. Brady held onto the ball with terrible indecision for way too long. Then he whipped the ball indecisively between Gronk and Cooks to set up 3rd down.

3-Wide Weak shotgun. Brady had time, and Brady threw to Britt on a slant. "Nobody wants to throw interceptions. Tom doesn’t want to throw them. Nobody wants to throw them," BB said. "Look, there’s things in the game that come up every game that we need to improve on and correct offensively, defensively, and in the kicking game. I don’t think that will ever change. We always want to take care of the ball. We always want to score points when we send the offense on the field. We always want to stop the offense when we send the defense on the field. We always want to create field positon or score points when we send the special teams out on the field. So, there’s no other reason to send them out there. We’ll just keep working and do a better job." But Poyer leaped in front of him for a Pick Six.

The Pats got the ball back with a pissed off Brady. "You just have to find ways to win whatever it is, and you keep competing as hard as you can for 60 minutes and you don't take anything for granted. You don't take a play off, anything can happen," Brady said. "That's what playing 16 games is all about. It's not easy. It's a marathon for everybody. You have different matchups and sometimes they work in your favor and sometimes they don't on a week-to-week basis." He completed three straight passes to Allen, Britt, and Gillislee on a screen, to pop over midfield.

Then lined up in a Singleback at the Forty. They ran a play action to Gillislee. Brady had a ton of time. He finally went outside as the pocket was collapsed by Adolphus Washington, who knocked Andrews back into Brady as he threw.

2nd and 10, Pats lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Brady hit Gronk for 9 and half. 2nd and a half-a-yard, Brady snuck it for the First. They went into a 3-Wide Singleback, and Brady ran play action. Then threw a terrible pass to the wrong side of Gronk's body that was uncatchable.

2nd and 10, Pats stay 3-Wide Singleback. They ran Dion to the left. "Dion's awesome. We're so lucky to be playing with that guy," Solder said. "He's quick and strong. And he plays the way that everyone would want him to play." He hit the hole like a rocket, and was past the marker in a flash.

1st and 10, Pats in a 4-Wide Strong shotgun. Brady had as clean a pocket as he had all game. "I think it was a run. Tom alerted it. I think he saw man coverage," Gronk said. "[So] he alerted it, and the alert was me on a Go," Brady finally threw it. "He put the ball up there where I can only go get it," Gronk said. "And I would say it started off in practice the last couple weeks. I mean, we've just been hitting the same page. We've been practicing hard and we've been just working on things and it just pays off, hard work throughout the week." Brady never took his eyes off of Gronk.

He lofted a soft back shoulder fade to Gronk. "It was a great catch. He made just a spectacular [play]." Brady said. "I was trying to give him a chance. It was man coverage. I was trying to give him a back shoulder, and it was probably a foot further back than I wanted to. He's just an incredible player. He made the catch and got his feet in. It was a huge play in the game." Gronk leaped up and pirouetted with one hand to twist into the Endzone for a great TD. Pats-10. Bills-10.

The Pats defense quickly forced a three and out, and Amendola caught the punt at the 11. "He's been incredible," Brady said about Dion. "He got here and no one really knew much about him a few years about and he got an opportunity and took advantage of it and played unbelievable for 10-11 weeks and then got injured and fought really hard last year to get back to full strength. And came in this year and you just can't say enough good things about him and what he's done." On 1st and 10, Dion was suddenly screaming up the middle behind a great kick out block by Allen.

2nd and 3, Big Singleback. Brady threw deep to an open Cooks, but just out threw him. 3rd and 3, Bunch left Strong shotgun. They ran the fake bad snap to Dion. "He's an unbelievable player. He's a beast for his size," Gronk said. "I look up to him. The way he plays, the way he doesn't let people take him down inspires me because I'm like, ‘If that guy can do that, why can't I be able to break tackles like that?' So that just shows his inspiration of how hard he plays, how hard he works and a great dude to have on the team." Dion swept outside for the First.

The Pats lined up at their 25, and Brady leaned back and went deep. He flung it to the wrong side of the Safety. Cooks drew the flag trying to jump to the other side of the safety for a 44-yard penalty.

1st and 10 at the 31, Pats motioned into a 3-Wide Singleback. They ran Dion off tackle. But he had to cut back, and was cut down too soon. "He's a great running back. I always say it, I had to see him in college once before I left Rutgers, and he killed us there," McCourty said about Dion. "So I was excited when we first signed him because I knew what he was able to do. It's been great seeing him here and being able to kind of do everything on the field: running between the tackles, run outside, catching the ball, definitely a tough back to play." 2nd and 7, Empty. Brady had time, and hit Lewis short.

3rd and 2 at the 22, the Pats lined up in a 2-Wide Strong shotgun. They ran Lewis, but got nothing. 4th and 1, and the Pats eventually kicked the FG. after some silly shenanigans that the Bills wouldn't buy. Then the Bills choked off a 1st and Goal from the five: first Taylor hit Chung in the back, then Clay did not survive the ground, and Benjamin bumbled a TD catch to force the FG. Pats-13. Bills-13.
