2nd Quarter.

By TOM

The Steelers came out in a 3-Wide Singleback. Jags matched up in 4-3. Roethlisberger had time, and hit Rogers over the middle. "We have a lot of work to do. We haven't seen them in quite a while, but obviously, they're well coached," BB said. "They have a lot of good players. We saw that from training camp. They've been in two close games and they've made a lot of critical plays in critical situations. They've made the plays they've had to make, and that's what you have to do at this time of year." He was being covered by two LBs.

2nd and 3, Pitt in an I. Jags matched up in a 4-3 with six guys on the line. They keyed run, and sent all three LBs on run blitzes. "They are competitive. They are a very, very competitive defense," Gronk said. "Fast, tough, physical and like I said, competitive. You have to be ready to bring it. You have to be ready to play. You have to be ready to make tough plays. There are going to be no easy open plays or wide-open plays. They are going to be tough, contested plays that we are going to have to make. They are just very competitive." The OLs blocked it well, and Bell got through the line at full speed. He broke outside and slipped down just short of midfield.

1st and 10, Pitt lined up in a 2-Wide Singleback. The Jags matched up in a 4-3 with an LB in front of the TEs. Roethlisberger ran play action and waggled outside. He threw a terrible pass to Posluszny, but he dropped it.

2nd and 10, Pitt in a 3-Wide Weak shotgun. Jags went into a 4-3 Nickel with a Safety in the box. Pitt ran a screen, and the Jags were all over it. "This is the Jaguars defense. I faced them in camp this year, and they are very competitive," Gronk said. "I haven't played them in a regular season game this year, so I really don't have a comparison for that besides what I remember in training camp. And that they were tough, they were competitive, and they were competing at all times during training camp. When you watch the film of them playing this year, and when you watch the game last week against the Steelers, they are competing. They are always ready to go." Bell got more than he should.

3rd and 7, Pitt went 4-Wide Weak shotgun. The Jags matched up in a 4-2 Nickel with all six guys on the line. They sent all six, and Shovel pass fooled them all.

1st and 10, Pitt lined up in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Jags went 4-3. Roethlisberger went deep to Brown. He caught the contested TD right next to Buoye, who couldn't make a play on the ball. Jags-21. Pitt-7

1st and 10, the Jags came out in a tight Singleback. They passed out of this last time, and have been going opposite. So this should be a run. Bortles checked. They ran Fournette on a Smash to the left. 2nd and 8, Bunch-R Singleback: 2 for 2 Run. They do like to run on Bunched up formations. They ran two play actions and Bortles threw to Fournette. This is the difference between an OC making the calls (Jags) and the QB making the calls (Titans).

1st and 10, Jags went 2-Wide Strong shotgun: 1 for 1 Run. I think they stick to the run here. With Fournette banged up, they give it to Yeldon again. He slashed to the left for a nice run. 2nd and 6, Jags lined up in a Bunch-R Singleback: 2 for 3 Run. They ran the double fake, first to Yeldon, and then to a WR on the reverse. Then Bortles dumped it off to Yeldon on a Screen.

3rd and 2, Jags went Bunch-Left Weak shotgun. Everything says run. But they have to pass here on 3rd down, unless they want to take pressure of Bortles throwing (which would a great sign for the Pats;).

They put the pressure on Bortles. "He's played well. He's got a very high rushing average. When he carries the ball, he carries it productively whether that's to scramble or on designed runs," BB said. "He throws the ball efficiently like he did in the Pittsburgh game. He makes good decisions. He's a big, strong tough guy that's hard to bring down, hard to tackle. He's got a lot of good receivers, good tight ends, good backs. He's got a lot of weapons. A good offensive line. Offensively, as an entire unit they are very productive and they are very well balanced. He makes it all go. He's the triggerman that makes it all happen. They do a good job." He came through with a pass to Lee.

1st and 10, Jags lined up in a Twin-WR-Right I: 1 for 1 Pass. Bortles finally went deep, and threw it a hair short. So the DB was able to leap up and knocked the pass down. 2nd and 10, Jags went 3-TE-I. They ran Yeldon up the gut.

3rd and 4, Bortles goes up to the line and points out the coverage (that might be a tell;). Then he stepped back into a 3-Wide Weak shotgun. Bortles threw it into the ground at the WR's feet short of the First. That was a terrible throw to force the punt.

1st and 10, Pitt came out in a 3-Wide Singleback. The Jags stayed in their 4-2, with a Safety in at the Sam, and their DBs lined up closer to the line than normal. They got no pressure, as it looked like they keyed run. Then Roethlisberger dumped it off to Bell outside. He ran for almost 20-yards.

1st and 10, Empty. Jags went 4-2 Nickel. They rarely take out LBs, and want two or three on the field 90% of the time. Roethlisberger dumped it off outside, on a bit of a TE-Screen. The Jags were completely unprepared for it. That might be a nice play for Gronk.

1st and 10, Pitt went 4-Wide Weak shotgun. Jags matched up in a 4-2 Nickel with a Safety at Sam. Roethlisberger hit the TE, who was wide open. 2nd and 10, Pitt motioned Empty. But just to note: the Steelers are in normal personnel with Bell and the TE MacDonald on the field. So they really only have 3-Wides on the field. Similar to what the Pats do. So when I say 4-Wides that doesn't mean for WRs are on the field. It means they have four guys on the line outside (traditionally a WR position, but not any more). Which allows the Jags to stay in their Base 4-2 with a Box Safety, and their two speedy LBs.

Roethlisberger was sacked by #91 Ngakoue. The ball popped out. Telvin Smith picked the ball up, and ran into the endzone with the speed of a DB. He left the entire Pitt offense in the dust. Smith and Jack really do have impressive speed. Jags-28. Pitt-7.

Pitt came back out in a lot of trouble in a 4-Wide Weak shotgun. The Jags just stayed in their 4-2. Roethlisberger hit Bell short. Pitt went 3-Wide I, with motion. Jags came out in a 4-2 Nickel that looked like a 4-3. Roethlisberger tried to dump the ball off on another TE-screen to MacDonald, but the ball was tipped into the turf by the DE.

3rd and 7, Pitt lined up in a 3-Wide Strong shotgun. The Jags stayed 4-3. Roethlisberger hit Brown on the numbers. 1st and 10, Empty. Jags matched up in a 4-2 Nickel with a Box Safety. Jack drove Smith-Schuster out of bounds. This defense really dares you to try and go over the top with so many DBs so close to the line.

2nd and 11, Pitt went 3-Wide Strong shogun. Jags matched up in a 4-2 Nickel, with two safeties in the box like LBs. "It is just another good player on their defense," BB said about ex-Bill Marcell Darius. "They have a lot of them. They have a lot of them up front, and Marcell is another great player. He has great size and quickness. He runs well. He can rush, is hard to block. Hard to rock in the running game, and hard to block in the passing game. It is a defense that has a lot of good football players, a lot of guys who are hard to block. The ones we have talked about are all right there at the top of the list." Roethlisberger got sacked by Derrius.

3rd and 15, Pitt went 4-Wide Strong shogun. Jags went 4-2 Nickel, with Smith creeping up to he line and Jack and Posluszny in at ILB. They still only sent four. Roethlisberger dumped it off to Brown. 4th and 11, Pitt had to go for it, in a 4-Wide Strong shotgun. Jags stayed Nickel, with Jack and Smith behind the front four, and all the DBs out of the Box. Roethlisberger hit Bryant over the top for a TD. Jags-28. Pitt-14.

Fascist is as Fascist does. Beware American. President Jerkballs is pulling the cowardly republican Senate closer and closer to the cliff.

Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances:

The 1st Amendment to the Constitution is the greatest paragraph ever written by mankind. It is the truest diagram of how to ensure a free Country of citizens survives. But is is also a list of what to attack when you want to be a fascist dictator. President Jerkballs is attacking every article in the 1st Amendment. Beware suckers, or you will be subjugated:
